If you’ve been running (or looking at) flush mount tail lights on your Gladiator, this is a big one. We just updated our flush mount tails to V2, and it’s a serious upgrade across the board, without changing the install or price!

The biggest difference is the output. The new double-diffusion optical system gives you a much smoother, more uniform light with way less hotspotting. Brake and running lights look cleaner, more defined, and honestly just more premium overall—day and night.

On top of that, we upgraded the internals too:
  • Better surge protection (huge for builds with accessories)
  • Improved CANbus compatibility
  • Protection against over/under voltage + reverse polarity
So it’s not just a visual upgrade—it’s a more durable, reliable setup for real-world use.

And the best part:
  • Same plug-and-play install
  • Same price
  • Warranty is now 2 years instead of 1
If you liked the original version, this is basically everything refined. Check them out here: https://www.oraclelights.com/pages/v2-flush-mount-tail-lights

A few of us have added a rubber trim seal to make it a neater looking install. Oracle's fit was okay, but just looked a bit unfinished. Does version 2 have any kind of a seal? Just curious.

I love that you are improving / updating your products. The version 2 looks great. I'm still loving my "version 1.2's" and Oracle's customer service!

This looks promising. I will wait 2 years at least to read reviews and see if this latest version fairs better than the original.
General community reports about V1 were not positive. I've always loved the look of these but i'm right there with you. Gotta hear some user reports before I trust Oracle, because a reasonable portion of the V1 units in the wild ended up in the trash.

Yea which reminds me, I need to pitch mine. I had one side go out over a year ago. I put my oem lights back on and the oracles are on my shelf in the garage, eating up valuable real estate.

Hopefully, the adhesion is better with V2 to keep the LED strip from falling off.
And I agree that a gasket would help it look finished.

Even with the detached LED strip, the replacement is still working and I still like the way they look.

Down to donate for diag/repair?

I've been looking at these but the price is still too much for the hit or miss fitment and the exact issue you said. There's been a couple "knockoff" aka replica of these that are much more affordable that I was willing to try down the road for the price.

@ORACLElights, were any of the updates on these to address the failures on the V1? I've been following the V1s because I like the design, but not about to spend that kind of money on something that has shown a high failure rate. I don't want a failure when I'm thousands of miles from home and can't be dealing with warranties and replacements.

The V2 version does focus on improving long-term reliability, but it’s more on the internal side. The biggest durability upgrades are in the electrical architecture:
  • Enhanced surge protection (helps protect against voltage spikes)
  • Better handling of over/under-voltage + reverse polarity
  • Improved CAN-bus compatibility for newer vehicles
These changes are meant to reduce the kinds of failures that can lead to LEDs going out over time, especially on vehicles with added accessories. On top of that, we doubled the warranty from 1 year to 2 years, which reflects a lot more confidence in the updated internals.

How do your flush mounts compare to your competitors that offer them at almost half the price with a 25 year no questions asked warranty?
