That is the exact one I want. Is that the Willys or Willy Sport? Congratulations!I am officially out of the Gobi Gladiator Waiting Room! I picked up my truck yesterday. I ordered through Gupton in Tennessee even though I'm in Ohio, as their order prices are for real! Well worth the 530 mile drive home.
Ordered 3/8
Built 5/20
Arrived at dealer 7/1*
(No one knows why the delay)
I was emailed that it was ready for pick-up on 7/11
7/21 in my grubby hands.
Gobi is beautiful, I love it. Wife hates it.
To everyone still waiting, be patient!

This is one of my big concerns. Was just texting my rep about this this morning. He actually offered to punt on my current order unit and order a '23. Not sure I want to start all over, not to mention the new model year will have an effect on my trade value. At this point I'll share my fears with you...
As we near the end of the build year just how rushed is my truck assembly going to be? Are they going to be so rushed I'll need to check every nut and bolt to see if they're there and if they've been torqued properly? Stuff like that...
Just how set is this factory switchover anyway? Gobi's not available so do they rush them even more so cause they can't say they're 2023, or can they?
I wonder if they'll sell me an discounted extended warranty since it'll already be last year's model when I get it...?
Sport S. With tan seats. That is the exact one I want. Is that the Willys or Willy Sport? Congratulations!
I drove home 530 miles from Tennessee to Cleveland. I did 120 miles of side roads and state routes through some BFE TN (which was pretty and not too crowded). Then I jumped on the interstate and what a mess that was, construction and accidents. Either way, I'm sure with that 8 speed downshifting quite often to stay at 70mph, my break-in was more than adequate. Only got 20.5 mpg during the drive. Was expecting a bit better.Just got home. Got to tell you, driving through bum F@#%ed nowhere at 55mph kind of sucks (Idaho to California takes you through empty nothingness in ID, OR, and NV until you hit Reno). I think I lasted 360 miles before I bumped it to 60 for the last 140 for the break in.
Dash said 23.2 after 530 miles, but I swear I was pegged at 30+ most of the time. It sure takes forever for average to go up but tanks super fast with any kind of throttle... Your mileage makes sense since you were doing 55 & 60mph.Dash said 23.2 after 530 miles, but I swear I was pegged at 30+ most of the time. It sure takes forever for average to go up but tanks super fast with any kind of throttle... LOL
100% as predicted, truck was delivered on the day I put in on the raft trip. So I'm late getting all the paperwork started, hopefully can get it done in time to pick up next weekend and drive homeI'm heading out on a vacation where I'll be totally unreachable (bottom of the Grand Canyon) for 8 days, which seems fairly likely to be the time that the truck finally gets delivered. I'm having such a weird anxiety that the truck will come in, the email gets sent out, and I won't see it or be able to respond for days. Rational-brain knows this won't be a big deal, but Jeep-brain is putting up a big fight
Thank you for your service! Your patience in waiting almost 4 months is also commendable!Delivered! I’m deployed for awhile longer so the wife is going to pick it up.
