I was put on waitlist for the recall at my local dealership about 2 weeks back .After calling for a few days with no call back, I went in and spoke with service. They apologized saying they are short staffed and have a large call/email backup. Ok, no problem, just wanted an update, which I got. The service advisor was at least straight forward and stated it would probably be a few months before they got to mine as they are not receiving parts at any substantial volume and that they will be fixing new inventory first. Also stated I should just park the jeep for the time being to be safe. Sometimes you just got to sit back, drink some bourbon and laugh at life.

Called my dealer last week, they said parts available and ordered them. Does anyone know when the strike at the parts warehouse started?

Mine is at the dealer and has been for 1 week now.

They did find metal in the fuel system…. Bummer…..

No ETA on parts.

Dealer has No ETA on getting parts. They said plan on this taking awhile.

Colorado does have a 30 day Lemon law, I may need to explore that if it comes down to it.

I can pay for a rental out of pocket, they did ‘Authorize’ that. I am nervous paying up front though.

Have others had a good experience getting quick compensation for rental expenses?

Called my dealer yesterday to get an update. Truck goes in tomorrow for an inspection, to see what needs to be done. Be it just the HPFP, or more.

my recall is being done this coming Monday. I've been first on the list at the Green Bay dealership for quite sometime. Will report back what they end up doing and if there's anything different vs. the current pump.

I’m going to call the dealership tomorrow morning and see what they say. I’m in Canada, and have been waiting for mine to ship from storage. I don’t think there ever was a stop sale on them in Canada, but could be misinformed. I’m real curious to see what they say when it comes in.

Took mine into the dealership today for an inspection related to the recall. The service contact told me that while they'll check for metal in the fuel line etc., they're also checking serial numbers on the HPFP, as (Jeep) are "focused in on specific batches of pumps that have failed". Don't recall reading/seeing that.

Anecdotally, the dealership has yet to find a failed pump yet. I'm hoping I won't be their first example. Crossing my fingers in the meantime, as they don't have a replacement pump at the moment, and he said they're currently getting 1 pump a month.

They reimbursed me fairly quickly. Way before I had to pay my credit card statement for the rental bill. Make sure you submit the rental invoice as soon as you return the rental.

Called the dealership service department and the person said they are not sure when it will get done. She said to just take the vehicle and when parts are available, they will call me to bring it back in. Probably won’t happen that way, since I’m 6 hours away. I’ll try my hardest to just take it to my local dealership.

I spoke to the dealer yesterday since I'm dropping the truck off for a rear glass leak and they can keep it for a week.

I was told there are still no parts and they will not prioritize me since my truck is still driving, the service guy said they have several trucks on the lot waiting for new parts that have fully grenaded the fuel pump - so those will get the first pumps that come in (which is fair).

There was also skepticism from the parts department about whether the new pumps will even solve the problems.

Took mine into the dealership yesterday. My HPFP falls into a "specific batch" so they've ordered the replacement part. They're currently getting 1 pump a month, and it could be 7-9 months before my part gets in, depending on if the allocation changes, and/or the current strike. The Service Manager I was dealing with said they have yet to see a failure in Las Vegas, so I shouldn't be "all that worried". Frustrated, but being as patient as possible.

Mine got done today. I’ll dig up the part number later. Dropped it off this morning and picked it up this afternoon. No noticeable difference in noise or driving but I run EDT and wasn’t having any issues beforehand.

Just had mine done today, can’t tell any difference and all seems to have been put back together properly. Hopefully it is a permanent fix, hard to make up your mind since there is no explanation on what was improved. Until someone tears one down, I suppose we are all just hoping for the best. Still love my JT regardless of the shitty communication and multiple trips to the dealer; Serv 4WD ground issue, leaking axle seal, tpms antenna, and now HPFP. Pic of the work order below.
