.......even though I added on to the fleet. JTR is sharing garage space with this guy. I ordered the Power Wagon in Oct and picked it up in late January. Loving it so far but the JTR is easier to deal with in day-to-day driving. I have been driving (sometimes daily) Dodge 2500 Cummins 4X4s since 1998, and the Power Wagon fits in just fine. My plan is to keep the both the JTR and PW. They are both great!

The power wagon was my original dream truck. When I finally got to a point where I could afford one, the Gladiator showed up.
I went with the Gladiator just for the customization potential… but the Power Wagon is still something I hope to get one day.

enjoy!

The tires are small! They are the same size tires as the factory tires on my JTR. The PW rims are 8" wide while I believe the Rubi rims are 8.5" wide. Most PW folks immediately jump to 35 or 37 tires. I have no pending plans to do either. I have owned a 98 Cummins and a 05 Cummins for the last 26 years and that was always the comment - small tires. I guess it is a CDJR thing.

37's will fit with no problem.
I have my ProCal Snap ready to go if and when I do go to 35 or 37. I just used it to adjust the TPMS settings.

Rubi rims are 7". As you found out. They both use the same size tire. 285's.

Here's the link to the PW forum. I'm an OG there.

A Power Wagon will probably be my next purchase. My JT will probably head to college with my daughter next year and I want an overlanding rig that can also to my TJ.

I don't think you will regret the purchase of a Power Wagon. The lower payload is not something that bothers me. The PW has reduced payload is due to the softer off-road suspension. Max towing is 10K LB. The payload on my PW is 1353LB. My JTR has a payload capacity of 1110LB. Basically, the PW can only haul (legally) one more fat guy than the Gladiator. I sold my '05 Cummins 2500 to purchase the PW because I don't do any major towing or hauling so it fits what I need......and it is a Power Wagon!

I believe the OEM Rubicon wheels are 17x7.5", unless I got some sort of unicorn.
Yeah, they're 7.5". I missed hitting the .5 when typing, and didn't proof read what I typed.

What’s so special about a power wagon?
This is just a list off of the top of my head. There are tons of reviews and forums to learn more if you are so inclined:
3/4 ton pickup truck with heavy duty drivetrain to match
Electronic Locking differentials front and rear
Rear differential is also a Torsen style limited slip
Warn Zeon 12K Winch
Front swaybar electronic disconnect
Factory suspension is 2" taller than other RAM 2500 trucks
Hill descent control
6.4 Hemi V8
ZF 8 speed trans
Those are the highlights. There are numerous factory options and combinations of options that one can configure the truck with as well as a thriving parts aftermarket. Of course the PW parts aftermarket is small compared to the Jeep aftermarket. @Rusty PW may be able to add more as he is Power Wagon enthusiast!

Yea, I wanted the Power Wagon concept that they came out a few years back when everything was going retro(1999). Now... I'll just take a TRX!
