Testing for the military and export for military purposes.
I can't say more.

Just kidding, I don't have a clue.

But expect to see JT's in foreign lands with AA or AT equipment mounted in the bed.

It's the perfect platform.

But all those old toyotas would need to be completely destroyed first to make room, not seeing it.

Who know what they could be road testing for, perhaps improved tow ratings? Got a cube tote of antifreeze lashed down in the trailer and they are whipping them for all they have at 11k?

Check your inbox.
Probably just testing something innocuous, like a new suspension package, or UConnect 6 with added features.

The sensor might be a weather sensor to calibrate interior. Usually the wire-braided lines are temperature.

Aside from the red one with the half suite of mud flaps, and the single electric doodad on the other, I don't see a single thing in any of those photos that gives away anything insightful. Things expected to be coming down the pipes are 35" tires from the factory and 4XE. That's all that's made it out of the void. Gorilla glass and Sunrider as factory options have already hit dealer order sheets. If the simplest explanation is the best, it's 4XE related in terms of anything exciting and new and groundbreaking. It could just as easily be a new transmission tune or something equally mundane.

The mud flap may have been yanked off somehow. I pulled on off by accident and tossed it in the back, keep on rolling. It doesn't look like we are seeing the secret testing of a reborn 440 6-pack or lenco lighting rods or a cummins powered beastmobile.

What's that device and wire coming from the rear door and mounted to the bed?

Maybe they are testing the Tornado/Hurricane/Typhoon twin-turbo I-6? 🤪
No way to really tell.

When I seen them in Moab they didn’t have the red one with them or a trailer, just a black and grey Rubicon and a Sahara

New power source, but not 4e or 392. Look at the reflection of what is in the bed of the lead Gladiator. Through enlargement and enhancement, it is clear a new power source that will finally have the range and power we want. That will be confirmed when FCA starts publishing 0-88 mph times for the Gladiator. And certainly, with the new power source, Gecko Green will be offered again.
