Never buy a non OEM warranty. Most times, they are barely worth the paper they are printed on.

Disagree with you there Sgt. I've a 3rd party on my 2015 ED WK2 and it has saved me $5k that the Mopar warranty wouldn't cover.

A better way to express your thought might be to make sure, if you buy a 3rd party warranty, that it covers true bumper to bumper fixes. The one I currently have does just this but is also limited to 100k miles.

Very depends on the warranty, or extended care. The Mopar MaxCare plan is awesome. I have used it many times on my 14' JGC all paying for it off the first use. Of course, its an actual Mopar Care plan rather than a "warranty" but it was beneficial for me. I am the small statistic of actually using it though probably.....

I've been shopping around for the best deal I could find without having to travel too far. With all of the markups dealers are pushing, I had just about reached the conclusion that I was going to have to factor in airfare with my purchase, but then I found a dealer less than 2 hours away willing to work with us.
We just ordered an Overland from Beaman CDJR in Murfreesboro, TN, and we're super pumped. Our salesman, David Hemontolor, honored our Tread Lightly! FCA control number, and gave us EP, ultimately pricing the truck at 7% below invoice. He then subtracted the doc fee from that price and gave us a lifetime powertrain warranty. There might be a better deal on a JT, but I haven't seen it.
David was extremely easy to work with. We agreed on the terms over mostly emails and texts. My wife and I drove up to Murfreesboro and actually got to test drive an Overland on some back roads and the interstate, and then placed our order and left in under an hour. We probably could have gotten out of there quicker if we didn't hang around gawking at the truck. If you end up reaching out to David, tell him I sent you.
Glad you had a good experience.....I’ve been there twice.....the first time, I was the only person there, no one came to see what I was there for, finally, they send a kid over to talk to me, who knew nothing about the Gladiator. The second time I went, a guy approached me, while I was looking at wranglers outside, and told me they only make these colors for a few months, then they’re gone, never to be seen again. So, you’re telling me, there is one guy there that knows something? If I ever go back, and I can’t say I won’t, because you never know, I’ll contact this guy first. Congrats on the great deal!

Honestly, that seems to be how most dealers operate no matter the brand. You get a couple salesmen at most that are excited about the product and want to learn about it. The rest just want to push as many vehicles as they can with as little actual knowledge on the product as possible.

Not arguing but disagree with the comment to never buy an aftermarket warranty.

Sold these warranties prior and know first hand that several aftermarket warranties are much better than factory offered. I’m sure there are some bad ones but I have personal experiences with both factory and aftermarket and glad I went aftermarket .

By the way to the OP that’s a great deal. Congrats to you

Any particular aftermarket ones that you would recommend?

My understanding is that Mopar MaxCare IS an OEM plan from FCA. I know there are 3rd party warranties out there that are at least decent but there are A CRAP TON more plans that aren't worth diddly. I've seen companies spring up, sell a lot of policies and then go belly up within a year. That's why I won't trust anything outside the plans offered by the manufacturer. I could dig deeper into a company, checking their AM Best rating, the re-insurer, etc.,etc. but frankly I don't have time for that. OEM extended warranties have stood the test of time. You can also get them reasonably priced if you shop around. You don't have to buy it from the dealer when you buy your car.

Maybe his phone is blowing up now that his contract info is on the forum and he's just busy?
