Semantics. Magazine vs Clip. Just messing with ya.
Thanks I was like What did I miss. But yeah, I strictly use Federal or Hornady Critical defense. I'll never touch blazer or any cheap ammo again.

hello all

two days ago I was extremely fortunate to be out walking my new puppy when I saw my Jeep pass by down the street between two buildings.
fortunately it's such a bright color and so highly modified it that I recognized it out of my peripheral vision and looked up and managed to verify not only that it was in fact Nacho.Diesel but I also observed the driver and another vehicle closely following it. I immediately called 911, the officers arrived in just a few minutes and in working with some federal agencies and the power of social media, the Jeep was located and seized from the thieves just as it was entering Mexico approximately 40 minutes later.

I was asked not to add many more details as there will be legal proceedings BUT what I can say is the thieves broke out my d side window, climbed over to passenger compartment and accessed the terminal behind the glovebox to make a new key. I don't know approximately how long it took for this to happen but I do know the Jeep was seen still parked approximately 30 minutes before I saw it driving by.

I have been splitting my time since dealing with the incredible officers dealing with my situation, getting glass replaced and doing a ton of research between short anxiety filled naps where I make myself get up and go check on the Jeep. I am looking for any and all ideas on how to both electronically and mechanically deter theft.

For my own anxiety's sake and for the rest of our incredible community, please toss in ideas or any experience with things you've tried or heard about

TIA

I hope they throw the books at the thieves they caught, red handed.
It's Cali, I bet they don't even spend the night in jail if they finish processing before the shift ends.

Check this company out, starter relay replacement with a separate remote, If you lock your hood and the thieves can't access the relay, cloning the key will not start the vehicle w/o the relay remote and you have to be in vehicle or very close for the 2nd remote to work. Challengers & Chargers (TRX too) have this problem and are stolen much more often. Stellantis released an RF hub lockout that prevents fobs from being cloned for those models, no reason why it shouldn't exist for Jeeps as well, but i have no idea if it is offered (but it should be and free of charge as it is with Dodge)

claims to be able to keep a vehicle from being started.

Back in college / grad school I worked part time at a gas station, where I learned to drive a tow truck towing vehicles in for repair as well as illegally parked vehicles to the impound lot. Not being able to start a vehicle does nothing to prevent someone with tow truck from taking a vehicle.
