No way that bumper weighs that much, 117 pounds, maybe. Other listings for similar bumpers are about that.

Following, have been eyeballing the knock offs for awhile. Do you know if you can take the end caps off like the OG rubicon metal bumper?

Similar to the knock-off bumper I'm trying to sell - about 80 pounds. It isn't 100 pounds.
Listings often show the full shipping weight - box and all. Mine is heavy but not that heavy, and it's no more steel than a stock Rubicon steel bumper.

In about 2 or 3 years, if you live where there's winters with salt - you'll need to repaint, or do what I did - powder coat it.
I also had to replace the bolts and replaced their nuts with stainless steel clipnuts. (the factory Jeep bumpers don't use nuts like most of these do, they are clip nuts)
You'll want to order some black plastic plugs to cover/plug the sensor holes since US Jeeps don't use front sensors. I did that to plug the holes in the steel sections and ordered Jeep/MOPAR fog light bezels without the holes.

You can, it's just like the other knock-offs in construction and that type of parts. Maybe the finish and fasteners are different, but the steel parts will be pretty much the same as the others, and much like the MOPAR version.

Yes the end caps come off, I have one of the MP Concepts aluminum knockoff on my Gladiator and the JK 10th Anniversary version on my wife’s Jeep. Both are pretty nice although I would recommend cutting the crush cans out of your old bumper and installing them along with the OEM tow hooks. I don’t trust the chinesium hooks and hardware.

Did you just say the MP Concepts is nice? Total junk. Biggest POS I’ve ever bought. Their build quality is atrocious.

if you want it to last then have it stripped and powder coated as soon as you get it.

Same here. Mine was great and easy to install. And very light weight. Being made out of aluminum, it sure made a difference. Winch mount was steel and felt solid. No complaints. I left it on my 22 when I traded it since the 24, I got, already had the metal bumper…

Yes. That finish gets less black in a year and is likely to rust in spots after 2 or 3. I did mine and it made a huge difference.

Did you have to trim it to get the winch to fit?
