I have an AEV spacer lift as a temporary solution to create some space between the fender well and 37" tires. However, after adding about 500lbs of attachments to the bed (topper, tent, awning) and then packing it full with camping gear I don't think waiting for a proper lift is going to be an option.

So my question is what lift are you running and are you happy with it. If I am being honest, the factory lift on the diesel Rubicon even with all of the gear rides great. I drove my wifes JL with a 3.5" Terraflex lift and bilstien 8100 shocks and thought it rode like crap compared to my truck. I don't want to kill the smooth ride but I need some height.

You can see how low the rear is sitting now and that's with an empty bed. We filled up the back with our gear and it was like I was pulling a wheelie.

I've got the TeraFlex RT3 kit (except I've got EVO HD rear springs) with Falcon adjustable shocks and absolutely love it. I have it paired with 40" Cooper STT Pros. I've got a lot of weight in the back of mine, and it has a very small squat when fully loaded down for a trip. It sits level when the bed is empty(ish) (the bed is never actually empty).

If I had to do it all over again, I'd do just like this again

rock crawler adv kit. 3" diesel springs in front 4" springs in back to add a little more preload for the extra weight.

Pricey kit if you get the good shocks, but feels very nice in all conditions and well built.

First lift Rubicon Express 3.5” complete kit for 37” BFG at KO’s .
Very plush and capable.

not for an overland rig because the weight will sag the leveled JT with RE lift.

I had RE lift on for 6 months.

New lift is complete

Clayton Overland Kit with Tereflex Falcon Shocks and Rock Jock HD Steering and trac bar. It even has metalcloak rear bump stops.

Clayton has it down! This is a perfect lift for a overland JT set up!!

And just a little early something for y’all close to Halloween!

I spoke with someone on the phone today at Clayton Lifts. Super helpful and I like that I can review the Bill of Materials and drop a couple of the items. Like I already have a front adjustable track bar that I like so i dropped that part. He did suggest subbing out the std rear spring with the HD spring to account for all of the weight in the rear. Pair that with either the Fox 2.0 or if I can swing it the Terraflex adjustable shocks.

Sounds like a good plan but this is going to cost between 3500-4500 depending the shocks I choose. I know that AEV makes a lift that is specific to the gladiator diesel that is sub 2K. Obviously fewer components so lower cost but I am trying to justify the cost for a mostly weekend warrior.

I have the same dilemma when I added a pop-up camper to mine recently. The camper is light, but once loaded for a trip there is sag, and I just added 35s and i'm getting some rubbing now.

Since you have a front leveling kit, why wouldn't just adding the HD rear springs be enough? Seems like it would address the sag, without having to replace the shocks. This was my thinking earlier was adding something like the AEV front leveling kit, and then just adding HD springs to the rear. What am I missing that I need to an entire kit on there?

In my head, if i'm adding say 1.5" to the front, and the rear sags 3" when loaded, by adding HD springs for "up to 2"", and factoring the natural rake of the vehicle from stock, then it should come out pretty close to level and still be able to use the fox Rubi shocks.

i spent about $2800 on my kit, which included upgraded shocks and did the install my self. Add another 250 bucks for a pair of ridgid brand pipe stands to hold the jeep high enough by the frame to get the needed axle drop to do the springs and your still ahead by 1k.

Clayton 3.5" diesel lift with the falcon shocks. So far so good, and I like the way it rides. I don't have all the extra weight on it minus the RSE sliders, but it certainly handles well so far (picture doesn't have the RSE step sliders on it).

Just installed the Clayton 2.5 Overland (Diesel) last week, coupled with the 3.3 Flacon Shocks.
Still dialing in but I'm happy with it. 35/12.5/17 Baja Boss A/T.

The 2.5 looks good and I am liking the Clayton lift kit the more I learn about it.

I was looking at the MOPAR 2" and the AEV 2.5" until I came across the SkyJacker 2.5" for EcoDiesel. I purchased the parts to match up the MOPAR lift but it came with progressive springs.

JL with 8100’s riding better than factory rubicon diesel suspension..?? Something’s wrong.
If you already added the spacer to make up for height- how large is the spacer in the rear?
