I’m considering lifting it and adding 35’s. First things first, I don’t care if you think I should have bought a Rubicon over a Mojave if I chose to lift it. I bought it, I like it, move on if that’s your contribution here. I’ve googled and tried to read for the last 3 days and I haven’t gotten much. I’m also refusing to change the shocks so either it all works or it doesn’t happen. I know I can fit 35’s with no lift but I don’t want to swap tires and think it looks stuffed and want a lift and not have a viable option.

All I can find is ready lift, which is 4”, that’s too much for me. AEV, which seems to be permanently on back order until the end of time and Fabtech. I want something designed too because I don’t want to experiment with lifts on a solid axle Jeep or be mixing and matching parts I have no idea on.

Is Fabtech any good as far as quality?
Are the components in this kit necessary or overkill?

https://fabtechmotorsports.com/product/2-trail-lift-kit-w-shock-extensions-k4185/

I’m new to Jeeps and trucks and lifts so my knowledge sucks. Does anyone have any good links for information they’ve found useful or any reason why any of this is needed? I’m not dumb, just uneducated and I read all the threads but I don’t know the ‘why’ behind these components.

TIA!
I recently purchased the AEV 2” kit for the Mojave. After searching everywhere, I gave Amazon a shot and amazingly they have it. I just checked and they are in stock.

Can I ask a dumb question, since the Mojave/Rubicon can easily handle 35’s (or even 37s if they run small like the KO2s), why not just add 3/4” or 1” puck spacers all the way around? Can the shocks really not handle that extra inch or so without needing extensions?
This is good question, and curious about he answer.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Kurt might know, he’s pretty knowledgeable. But I’d trust that AEV engineers went over it and made the decision they did to make sure there would be no issues. The only way to know is to break something probably lol.

This^^^

AEV added things like the drive shaft plates, new sway bar links, bump stops, and shock extensions. There was something in the calcs that indicated this was a good thing to do.

Yep. I did some reading about a lot of the manufacturers and they’re consistently up there as a knowledgeable and well known company. So that’s why I had some faith what they were selling me was something they took pride in developing and not simply a money grab.

I believe I remember @KurtP that the Mojave suspension has a 1” room of variance per Fox so I think, if I understand it correctly the answer to your question is yes you can just do a 3/4-1” puck lift all around and be good.

correct. You can, lifting and keeping it everything at new neutral is best; but per fox engineering 1” off center is the maximal limit. On neutral will give the best performance though

So my next question is reference needing a new Track Bar to center the axel left and right. If I understand everything so far, doing the Teraflex 1.5 spacer lift does not require anything else? This kit only comes with the spacers. I have read post that others put this on and that was all.
Or put on the AEV 2 inch spacer lift which comes with a few more items and also get the GEO brackets for this one.
Do either of those lift mess with the axels being left to right and would require the new track bars?
