depends what you want to accomplish. I think the aev kit with brackets is good to go is most cases. Gives lift, repositions shocks correctly, etc.Yeah, that’s the most common lift here, it’s a spacer. It’s also on like permanent back order lol. I was curious if someone could highlight the reasoning behind why spending $1,500 would be worth it. All of these components might as well be explained in Spanish to me.
@KurtP I know you know a lot about this as I read all your threads. All the videos are gone though.
Thanks! That’s all I want, stock ride and the ability to use it on and off road with 35’s or 37’s if I choose. First Jeep, I don’t want to break anything or create bump steer or wobbles.depends what you want to accomplish. I think the aev kit with brackets is good to go is most cases. things like control arms allow you to reposition the axles and set alignment more accurately when lifting over 2”.
if you want stock ride and a little better drivability; some 37’s, get the aev with the brackets and rock on.
aev, geo brackets kickednout to get as close to 6deg caster as you can, tie rod and drag link, steel ball joints. Thanks! That’s all I want, stock ride and the ability to use it on and off road with 35’s or 37’s if I choose. First Jeep, I don’t want to break anything or create bump steer or wobbles.
Do NOT swap the Mojave suspension for Skyjacker. The mojave suspension is far superior. You'd be better off putting a small spacer (say, Teraflex 1.5 up front, .75 in the rear), adding shock extensions to the front, and installing the 35s. I know you said not to come here and tell you to keep the Mojave suspension, but if you're even looking at skyjacker, KEEP THE STOCK SUSPENSION. Seriously, step away from the credit card. That being said, ther are lots of quality lift kits out there. Mopar, Evo Manufacturing, Clayton, AEV, Rock Kralwer to name just a few. There are more. One thing to consider is the Mojave already sits an inch higher in the front, so an advertised 2" lift will only provide you with 1" of actual lift. The Mojave suspension is a very, very good system. So, unless you spend a lot of money on a full suspension swap to a high quality lift, with the Mojave, I think you're better off just putting a spacer lift on.My co-worker has a 2020 Mojave and 4WP sent him this but I’ve never heard of skyjacker.

^this is absolutely the correct answer imodepends what you want to accomplish. I think the aev kit with brackets is good to go is most cases. Gives lift, repositions shocks correctly, etc.

Haha I wouldn’t swap it for that, thats just a spacer lift. But I hadn’t heard of them so I was already very skeptical, it’s just what he sent me he said he was buying. Yeah, I’ve been researching everything and changing the suspension isn’t my goal. I like it as is and I’m totally fine keeping it that way. But j like the idea of 2” with the AEV and larger tires too.Do NOT swap the Mojave suspension for Skyjacker. The mojave suspension is far superior. Check Amazon and Ebay, on a regular basis, i have seen the AEV for Mojave lift show up quite a few times, act fast as they sell right away.?I’m considering lifting it and adding 35’s. First things first, I don’t care if you think I should have bought a Rubicon over a Mojave if I chose to lift it. I bought it, I like it, move on if that’s your contribution here. I’ve googled and tried to read for the last 3 days and I haven’t gotten much. I’m also refusing to change the shocks so either it all works or it doesn’t happen. I know I can fit 35’s with no lift but I don’t want to swap tires and think it looks stuffed and want a lift and not have a viable option.
All I can find is ready lift, which is 4”, that’s too much for me. AEV, which seems to be permanently on back order until the end of time and Fabtech. I want something designed too because I don’t want to experiment with lifts on a solid axle Jeep or be mixing and matching parts I have no idea on.
Is Fabtech any good as far as quality?
Are the components in this kit necessary or overkill?

I’m new to Jeeps and trucks and lifts so my knowledge sucks. Does anyone have any good links for information they’ve found useful or any reason why any of this is needed? I’m not dumb, just uneducated and I read all the threads but I don’t know the ‘why’ behind these components.
TIA!
I did call AEV and they said that nothing else was necessary but this is the info I was curious about. Do you have specific ones you bought that you liked?aev, geo brackets kickednout to get as close to 6deg caster as you can, tie rod and drag link, steel ball joints.
drive forever.
its not for the lift as much as it is for the 37" tire.I did call AEV and they said that nothing else was necessary but this is the info I was curious about. Do you have specific ones you bought that you liked?

I just wish Jeep made a diesel Mojave. Dangit Jeep, why you gotta be like that?Ok guys. There are a ton of questions about Mojave stuff, what's good and what's not, why.
If people want and would get valuable out of it, I'm happy to do a group zoom call q/a. Its frankly a better use of my time than doing a bunch of posts, and its easier to get into details.
just let me know.
The weak links that @KurtP mentioned would still be there.I just wish Jeep made a diesel Mojave. Dangit Jeep, why you gotta be like that?
