Max Tow Differential

I was under the impression that a Max Tow had the LSD as stock, however, no where in my equipment list does it have it listed. In fact, it actually says "conventional" for front and rear.

Is the LSD an option even on the Max Tow?

Comes standard on a '22 and '23 for sure. My '22 Sport came with it under the Max Tow package.

On a '20 I think it was optional, or not available. I think '21 was the year it became standard?

I have a “2020” built in 2019 that doesn’t have the trac-lok or anything special like that. ?‍

Build sheets are sometimes wrong, but I doubt it happens often.

Open diffs sometimes leave 2 black marks and Trac Lok diffs sometimes only spin 1 tire.

If I wanted to know for sure and I didn't trust my build sheet, the only way I could know for sure would be to pull the diff cover.

19-20 it was an option.

21 on ward it became part of the package.

If yours is a 19 and not listed as an option, your an open dif.

I special ordered my 2020 Max Tow and it was an option I had to choose.

Very early 2020 MAX TOW's were all conventional diffs for a few months before it became an available option.

can confirm as well, I have a 2020 max tow, no rear LSD . It's a shame as they do extremely well in my experience on slick winter roads. I've had a 2004 WJ Overland for the last decade with the H.O. V8 and quadradrive system front and rear LSDs (varilok axles) and it is a blast in winter storms.

Someday I'll probably just put Eaton Truetrac LSDs in the front and rear. I don't rock crawl so those fit my daily driving much better. https://www.motortrend.com/events/eaton-truetrac-for-jeep-and-bronco-m201-m220-dana-44/

I ordered my max tow July 2019 and it was impossible at the time to add the limited slip diff. They are out there.

Attached is the first order guide back in April of 2019. Showed the Anti Spin Diff was not available with "AJQ" sales code which was the max tow.
