Rookie question for the group: I’ve never lifted a Jeep before. I’m currently running a stock height Mojave on 35s and love the setup, orignally wanted to avoid a lift, but I’m planning to install the SDI E-Clik system (Dive in on the deep end, I know). After talking to SDI, they mentioned the system is essentially knee-capped without a lift to allow for proper travel.

I initially looked at the AEV 2-inch spacer lift, but putting spacers on a performance-oriented E-Clik build feels a bit counterintuitive. I found a Skyjacker kit that offers springs and sway bar links (I’d toss their shock extensions since I’ll have the SDI E-Clik shocks).

For roughly the same price, would the Skyjacker springs provide better travel than the AEV spacers? I’m not very familiar with Skyjacker’s reputation. Does anyone have experience with their spring quality or ride feel?

I can't see putting that much into shocks and running a 2" spacer lift.
AEV, MetalCloak, and Clayton all offer nice 2.5" / 3" spring lifts that can ride better then stock.
Other brands no doubt also have good options. But Skyjacker is not one I would pick. In the Jeep lift world they are not a big player.

Thank you, that was the impression I got. I'll look into the others, initially hadnt seen a spring lift without shoocks from the others and didn't want to buy shocks just to discard them.
Thank you!

AEV doesn't do that as far as I know, sell a spring lift without shocks. They do sell a lift with cheaper Bilstein 5100 shocks., which can always be re-sold if you want as they are a popular shock for the JT.
But MetalCloak will sell a lift anyway you want it pretty much, and I think Clayton will as well.
You can order that from MetalCloak without even talking to them, it is part of the options when you order.
Both Clayton and MetalCloak seem like good people to talk to, though. And they are a good resource for questions.

Get some synergy 2 inch springs. They are closest to Mojave spring rate. I just got done installing a franken 2.5 lift with their springs and kept my fox shocks with 2 inch extensions. Can confirm they ride now is night and day difference than when I had spacers on my stock Mojave springs.

Thank you! What are our opinions on ICON? They have some fairly affordable spring options.

Also, i've been reading and ther seems to be mixed info on need for an adjsutble track bar with 1.5" lift. Mostly seeing no, is that right?

I do not like icon, it doesn’t hold up if you off-road. I’ve never had their products on my vehicles but two of my friends do on their Toyotas…I’ll put it this way, one replaced everything on his rigg a year after the lift install to get rid of the icon lift and the other is doing the same next month. I recommend synergy specifically because it has identical spring rate to the Mojave springs. That’s what I wanted when I did my lift. As for the track bar I put a 1.5 inch spacer lift on for a while and did not have to get an adjustable track bar. Once I went to 2inch I really netted 2.5 and that’s when I got one because the axle was off center.

My only hesitation with the synergy is that they don't make a 1.5" rear spring. I was hoping to stay below a 2 inch lift to avoid getting more stuff.

What are you trying to accomplish? (this isn't rhetorical, real question because it depends)

The Mojave shocks are literally designed to provide a good ride over rapid terrain changes, that's what you're paying for.

The E-CLIK (which I've never heard of) are $5k? And supposedly better then the Mojave bypass shocks you already bought?

I don't doubt that these work, but for that money you can do so much good towards a set of tuned Kings or something.

If you go anything over 1.5” lift, your 35’s will look a bit small.
Honestly that was another concern. I love the look of 37s but don’t really want or need to move up to them. 35s fit my bill perfectly.
Everyone says this, but I had 35s with a 3in lift (net was around 3.5") and everyone I came across thought they looked just fine. I thought they looked fine as well.

1.5" lift you will not need track bars. I would maybe look at extended rear brake lines though. You'll be fine 99% of the time, but at full flex they might get a little tight. Shouldn't be tight enough to damage, but they are cheap so might as well.

I’ve really considered a good set of tuned kings or fox shocks. And I did specifically get the Mojave for desert running.

My truck has about 50k on it, so the shocks will likely need to be rebuilt soon. I figure roll that into the cost of upgrading since it’ll already be out of commission temporarily.

When I found out about the SDI they really peaked my interest! They market giving a Jeep a dang near raptor performance, which I’ve always wanted a raptor, but I’m not able to drop Raptor money.

I love the ability of the shocks to have different modes and different stiffness levels, both live valve style and manual adjust.

I feel like a tuned set of shocks locks you into “one setting” and don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it’s a good one. But looking at Accutunes website, there are 3 main tunes and it seems like it doesn’t give you “flexibility”.

I like the idea of having the ability for a stiffer or softer ride depending on my time specific needs. They also have the ability to adjust for added load.
