35 spline shafts showed up at East coast gear supply this week. They are a bit delayed due to covid. They are going to verify fitment before shipping. Excited to bring some new parts to the truck and the ability to put 37 or larger tires without twisting axle shafts. That with selectable arb lockers are about as good as you can get into a D44 m220 without moving to a full dana 60 swap.

6.5 weeks from order to shipped. Rear Shafts and ARB 35 spline kit shipped. Install coming soon.
East Coast Gear Supply has been an incredible shop, answered all my questions, and hooked me up with a military friendly discount. They also ship overseas. ALSO they helped me source bearings for my differential installs. The part numbers will be in the other thread for the front diff arb air locker.

Who wants monster dana 44 1.5 inch dana 60 shafts for their truck?

I worked with a supplier to get custom dana 44 shafts for the sport/rubicon (different widths).

The 1.5 inch 35 spline axles come with big set 80 bearings at the end for rocking some 40 INCH TIRES.

Tewl Talk Bringing you the Newest ARB Locker, the Super 35 Spline Dana 44. New high pressure line, new fittings, and more from ARB. ARB is the original switched locker and went on to inspire Jeep to put lockers in your Rubicon.

OH AND THIS FITS THE NEW 2021 BRONCO TOO. HAHAHA

Got some stuff done today.

Should have the build done tomorrow.

The shaft sizes. Notice the taper down on the stock 32 spline shaft. The 35 spline unit is 1.5 inches and made of case hardened forged 1541H steel. Should be the last thing i have to buy ever concerning axles.

Also note the set 10 bearings at the ends of the axle.

The rear axle is very strong. The tubes are huge. My sport is now a super sport. Lol

Spent 3 hours today setting up gears. Changed backlash about 10 times and currently on my third pull of the pinion. Changing gears and diffs is not for the faint of heart. The front was a breeze. This rear dana 44 is a bear. Lol. The pinions were off by .050 thou. I am now at about .030 thou to split the difference. Should be done tomorrow. Gear pattern currently is off the end, will have it centered tomorrow.

I've been trying to hold out on a regear (4.88) and helical LSD but this is looking more and more appealing and oh yea, actually available. If I am planning on running no larger than 315's (currently 33s) do you think the 35 spline axles are still necessary? It's a DD w/ camping duties and some 3-4 times a year hard offroading.

This is not for most. The stock axles are very good. This is just one more option for those that want the peace of mind, have the budget, and are already locking the sport or upgrading their lockers/diffs. The price difference between running arbs and this axle is negligible, so why not put in 35 spline shafts that will be stronger while you are already buying an arb.

Looks so clean. I assembled and painted the axle. There is a little Easter egg of the axles by dutchman 35 spline super 44 behind the hub cap.

Finally the only thing you see is a stealthy east coast gear supply sticker and the fitting for the arb hose. This thing is sick.

Do the front replacement axles still have the same size u joints? Would RCVs with or without a fad delete be better?

Any concern on the 35 spline being only on the market means you have 1 and only 1 choice for shafts should something break?

This is the rear axle with 35 spline shafts. The replacement axles from dana are chromoly and have a bigger yoke and u joint. I think. Don't quote me on that. I would spend the extra cash on a rcv to stop binding. But only if you seriously offroad.

I found the part number stamped on the end of the shaft at the bearing. I would just order a new set. These shafts won't break. They will be the last set I will ever have to buy.
