The lights that come on with the headlights are the running/marker lights, they are white but at a lower light level. Hard to tell from your avatar picture but if you have halogen flare lights you could remove the bulb, it is a dual element bulb, I don’t know if that would cause bulb out warnings.

If they are LED then I don’t know how to disable them as it is a sealed unit.

I just bought everything needed an hour ago.
$30 for the VGATE (Prime free shipping)
$40 for the additional cable needed (Prime free shipping)
$19 for one car license (Will buy later)

So about $90 all in for one car.

The two parts arrive on Friday.

Side note .... I need it for four cars so I need to spend near $62 instead of the $19
Wow! That's more than I paid. I think when I bought my stuff, I paid $20 for the vgate, $30, for the SGW cable, and $60 for a 3 car license. For my JKU, JT, and my dad's charger.

Thanks I will just pick up some led bulbs from local auto store. My Jeep came with the halogens but I swapped fog lights and headlights to led Oracles. The fender lights being halogen still and headlights being led was bugging my ocd.

I hear you on the ocd! I ended up changing mine out for OEM LEDs. They are available and fairly cheap in the Member Marketplace here and over on the JL forum.

We’re you able to find the fender lights in the Oem led?

is anyone running the smart start stop? If so, do you have to remove it to use JScan? I assume it uses one of the same plugs.

I use Auto Stop/Start Eliminator. You can unplug the necessary Jeep OEM cable from it, and plug it into the security cable, along with the other needed cable from the Jeep harness. That’s what I did to run JScan.

And if they get the beta working, you won’t need that start/stop device.

I will probably still use it since it’s already in there, but we’ll see. It is simply a memory device, maintaining the last used setting, as opposed to trying to disable the setting all together

Sorry to be a pain, but can you send the links to these items? I really appreciate it. Thanks.

So I finally got my speedometer calibrated "dead nuts". I drove it around for a couple weeks with it being 1mph off. This weekend I decided to get it perfect. My 35" kenda klevers measured 33.875" but the 33.75 or 34" setting was off 1 mph according to my gps. It was only correct using the 33.25" setting on jscan.

The measurement was taken using a level and tape measure.

My next concern/annoyance is that going up a slight incline on the highway from a stop, my 8speed shifts pretty normal until about 5th gear. Even being light on the throttle it will not shift into 5th until about 5000 rpms. I feel like my shift points are off some. Iam not sure if this can be adjusted. Maybe I should email jscan?
