Placed my order for the Security Gateway Cable and OBDLink MX+ on Amazon last night and its already been shipped. SInce my order is being shipped to Guam, it will take about 5 to 9 days to get here. I know that I could have used the other BT OBD devices, but I went with what was recommended on JScan's website. I love the fact that I can make the changes on my phone and not have to deal with the steering wheel controls. It is so much more cost effective to go this route than the other offerings. A big thank you to everyone on "JSCAN APP" thread and "Please teach me about jscan" thread . All your input was key to making a decision on which direction I was going.

@Lateralus you 5th gear issue is strange, the only thing I would recommend is disconnect the battery(s) as these things are never truly “off”. Disconnecting the battery is sort of a full reboot of the ECU’s and has fixed quite a few issues.

You can reboot many of your ECUs using the JScan instead of messing with the battery.

This is true. Not exactly the same thing but I could not get my manual trans Jeep to complete the “sixth gear relearn” after changing tire size until I disconnected the battery’s. Sometimes they just need a “full re-boot” and the only way to do it is disconnecting all power.

I'll try it. I just emailed jscan to see what they recommend if anything.

I was hoping JSCAN would release a start/stop eliminator function. I would be curious how it will work considering the eliminator and Tazer all remain in line with the security gateway unless JSCAN is actually going to write what's needed to the ECU as opposed to simply turning something on or off which is already technically programmed. I sure hope it works once completed. When I used JSCAN to activate my AUX switches the option was not there. I might have to plug it back in and mess around with it again.

I tried to get it to work and couldn't get it to take. I sent JScan developer a message last night, he said it's in Beta and testing but not ready yet. He said should be ready and functioning in the next few days.
I set it up the other day and it also didn't take. Did you hear back or does my app need an update?

Thanks. I was hoping for the same auto features as the driver button
The problem is the rear window buttons are only 1 stage, the front are 2 stage. Not sure if you can replace the rear window switches with ones from the front.

Still in Beta. I'm patiently waiting, they should have the kinks worked out soon I'm sure.

Hey...I’m going to jump this thread. Can JScan be used to get my fog lights working again? They were working fine before I disconnected them to put on my winch, but when I put the bumper back on, they weren’t working anymore. They are factory LED fog lights. I don’t think I pinched the wires reinstalling the bumper. I’d also use the JScan for re-gearing at a later time.

BTW I have a Rubicon JT.

JScan will work great for adjusting after a re-gear but I think you have a wiring problem in the bumper. I would check the fuse for the fog lights as I bet the wires are pinched in the bumper somewhere. You didn’t mention it but I assume it is a steel bumper.

I checked fuse 26 and 29. Both are fine. The wires in the steel bumper aren’t pinched. I lose track of them as they go to the battery, but I didn’t mess in that area. The fog light icon comes on in the display when I push the fog light button...but the fog lights don’t. I’m going to check it all again, now that it’s night.

Hmmm, unplug the fog light connector and check for power at that connector?
See if disconnecting it resets the fog light output from the BCM.

You did plug the harness back in on the side of the frame? Or did you run new wiring?

I used the same harness. It is plugged in. I just had another thought. At about the same time I put the bumper back on, I took the Retirus to the dealer because the SOS button isn’t working, nor is UConnect properly working. They did a reset of the system. Perhaps they need to re-flash it for the LED package? Though, the rest of the LED lights are working fine...
