Perfect. Thank you. I’m not going to be doing the extreme stuff I used to do with my Wrangler but still need them to be able to take an unintentional solid hit on occasion. Do you feel like they’ll hold up well or would I be better off looking for something more heavy duty?
I expect they’ll hold up well, yes. They’re beefy and smartly designed.

Latest update steps are taking shape. Will have to wait until tomorrow to test fit with the hours I'm working.

Had some progress on my steps made. The shop finally got someone on the brake and we made our first hanger. Noticed that there is some variance in a couple of the hanger locations and we'll have to massage the part in a couple locations. Overall satisfied with the outcome. Looking forward to having them fully assembled, hopefully the next couple weeks.

HA HA HA, now I get it. I thought you were just making a few steps for the rear corners of the truck box. Didn't realize you were making like "rock rail steps". or are you..., lol what am I looking at? I'll wait and see.:CWL:

Lol yeah they are full length step bars. This would be the main tube and hangers tacked on (upside down). They will be similar to Nfab with tube steps.

First fit up went well. They got the OK from me to get completed. We were mainly worry about the exact location of the mounting points. It's difficult to get real accurate measurements. Bolts were just pushed it to check alignment.

I emailed [email protected] again and he said I was on the JT waiting list and he would email me when something new happens......Sad, I haven't looked at the fab fours or Nfab Epyx yet, might take a peak, but Roam caught my eye straight away.

EDIT: Nope NFAB boohoo compared to roam if you ask me. Fab Fours do look nice, but damn that price! However i'm wondering what the Roam ones with slider panels underneath will cost. Probably around the $1200 mark too.
Wouldn't they be comparable in price to the JL Steps on their website ($499 body mounted, $699 frame mounted)? Maybe a little more for the added length required for the JT.

This....all of this! Every time i go to pull a trigger on any sliders or side steps, i see this thread and love the way the Roam rails look. And equally like the Fab Four's, but they're so damn much. However, if the Roam's are going to be about the same price, well then id rather spend money on the Roam than Fab Fours.
Copy that! Got on the waiting list as I haven't seen anything else I like better so far.

Watch the roam rails come out right before the holidays. Looks like my family is getting wendy’s chili coupons for XmasS :giggle::giggle:
I emailed ROAM yesterday and got a response back today from Anthony that the prototype steps will be done soon (not sure what that means but is encouraging news nonetheless). Plan to go with the body mounted Side Armor Steps powder coated black. Hopefully the stars align and they are available right around the time I take delivery of my JT in late November (based on 6-8 weeks from order date of 9/30).

I'm not sure what they're making. i think the MK3 roam steps are like $1300 and weight 100lbs per side, lol.

Yeah, hard to say what the cost/weight will be until they actually have them for sale. I spent $$$ on Nemesis Industries aluminum fender flares and side armor for my JK Unlimited and was very happy with the product and look on my Jeep. I don't mind paying more (within reason) for quality parts that I really like, especially considering what the custom ordered Gladiator is costing upfront. In for a penny, in for a pound!

I've been learning a thing or to over at JL forum. The new MK3 JL ones are these for frame mounted.

The $1500 ones are stainless steel. http://www.roamoffroad.com/product/...liders-jl-frame-mounted-316l-stainless-steel/
I think both the regular ones and stainless ones will be compatible with their belly pan slider kits, but nobody knows price/weight or expected time when they'll be available.

The normal MK3 ones are supposed to be Ecoated and with either black or bed liner coated.

Aftermarket? ........ I don't believe so.

But there has been somebody putting Rubicon rear rails on their sport.

I know I've seen some but now I can't find them. My brain is telling me dv8 but nothing listed on their site.
