For those who want to keep their Rubicon rock rails and add steps I found an alternative made by Rampage - rock rail short steps part # 26410034.
Took me around 2 hours to install all 4 steps. You will need 1/4" drill bit, 3/16" drill bit, M8 tap, 8 pcs. 8mm nylon insert lock nuts. The rest of the locking hardware is included with steps.

I bought a set of these from the Amazon warehouse for 60 bucks, along with the taps and drill bits to install them. All in all it cost me less than the original price, and I get to keep my original rails. I think I've figured out where to drill the holes, going to install this weekend.

Just wanted to post up my experience:

I took a shot and ordered a set of ATP Rock Rails even though there is not a lot of info online about them. They look really good and seem pretty heavy duty too. They mount directly to the RubiRail mounting location, so they may not be suited for the EXTREME OFFROAD Group, but I think they will give me the protection and step that i was looking for.

I did have a small quality issue with my rails, so I emailed them. The owner called me back today, cool guy, he is totally willing to help me get my issue resolved, and is very customer focused! Good Company, good service, nice product.

Adding pics as requested ;)

Care to share some pics? There aren't many online other than the 2 or so on their site.

Hoping someone can tell me if they is a slider out there that allows the factory rock rails to be left on other than the Ace ones. I have Ace on my JKUR and love them but holy crap they have gotten expensive.

Does anyone knows/have any experience with the ShrockWorks on a diesel Rubicon?
Is there any difference in the frame or holes locations? I called ShrockWorks but they didnt have a certain answer. All they could tell is that it the their JL sliders works for both the diesel and the 3.6.

Need to post an update in regards to my ATP rails. The rails had two issues, first the studs that mount them to the body, they are the same diameter and thread pattern as the Rubi-Rails... they are pressed into the plate on the rails, not welded. During the initial install one stripped out and another one snapped off. I have since pulled the rails off to address the second issue, and when I pulled them I had to mess around with those studs again, so I decided to pull them all out, drill and tap the holes and replace the studs with 3/8 bolts.

The second issue is rust. I think if you look at the pics on Quadratec you will see some rust around the edges. This is because the powder coater does not know how to apply to the tight corners, and they are not getting adequate coverage. I know a powder coat expert and he explained the issue to me... I relayed this information to APT via email, and they have never responded. In fact they have never responded since my initial contact with them... I guess you get what you pay for after all.

I have not complained too much since I like the way they look... But wanted to post that I had to repaint them, and put better quality bolts in. At some point I may convert them to Frame Mount and add some boatside protection as well...

@Syrus That is a factory Rubicon or Mojave rock rail that bolts up to any gladiator model. Those MORE steps are added on to the factory rock rails.
