Ok, do you think doing the vacuum hose would be a good preventative step? Or just wait for the leak?
Well, it's easy to do. Clean it well. I used a plastic prying tool to push the hose in. My window wasn't perfect. As there was a little more space on one side than the other. Just make it evenly pushed in all the was around. I stopped the hose just past the bottom corners.

Jeep will redesign the window when the cost of replacing them under warranty exceeds the cost of redesigning it. Obviously has not happened.

While we love our Jeeps, Stellantis is absolutely NOT a customer satisfaction focused company. It's all the bean counter.

Send that to your manager @JeepCares

I have the three piece hard top and noticed a water leak behind the back seat today. It’s coming in from above the sliding window. I know the freedom panels sometimes leak if not seated properly. But I have heard of anything in the back yet. Anyone having a leak back there?

Quoting the 1st post.....almost FIVE F***ING YEARS and Jeep has changed nothing.

All of the posts from people who went to the dealer and had a new 'gasket' got those from the dealer 3rd party glass company trying to deal with this shit.

Jeep doesn't give a F*** about you because glass is covered for 1 year 12k and you won't notice this POS leaking by then.

Do the vacuum hose and curse Jeep. Am I angry? Hell yes. For my Jeep? Nope. It hasn't leaked in 18 months. I'm pissed for all the people who open this thread.

I have the same vacuum hose in back window since 2021 and not a leak..I live where the sun rots everything and it has worked so far...if it ever does I will replace it for..$$2.00 I much prefer that instead of some dorks damaging my hard top cutting out the glass..then denying it...bastards

The glass is covered for 3/36k, if someone told you different, they are incorrect. Mine and many others in this thread have been fixed beyond 1/12k but before 3/36k.

Add my 2023 Mojave to the list of tops that leak. Only 16,000 miles.
I'm frustrated as many of you are. I'm certainly not wealthy , but i did expect to have a better quality out of a $62,000+ vehicle.
That said, I detail cars all over USA and I worked on a 2025 Porsche targa 4 ( $180,000+ vehicle) and I was surprised to see the front windshield seal. Seems like it would have an issue , possibly similar - over time (?). I was finishing up - detailing it in the sun. I went to wipe the glass and noticed my glass towel had streaked the driver side glass. When I wiped again, I saw the seal was 'gummy'. I cannot imagine this car sitting in Texas heat for more than the 30 minutes I was out there in direct sun; and not having some sort of negative reaction. Brand new car 3x's the price of my Jeep.
It was almost like there was black chewing gum all around the front windshield. Not defending Jeep or Porsche but makes feel a little bit better about my leaky issue.

Question for the ones having this problem, did the window start leaking after the top was removed from the truck?
I wonder if the normal motion of removing the top is causing the leaks? Maybe the sealant/glue is not flexible enough?
I haven’t removed my top at this point just the freedom panels. Kind of a little worried to do it at this point.
Never took mine out on the 2022 Mojave that I had… noticed that it was leaking the day before I traded it in for the 2024.

Looking for the link to that vacuum seal folks keep mentioning in this thread.

Well, 2023 Mojave and I got the leaking rear window. It took the dealer about three weeks to get a window in. They did have an outside glass company install it and yes the guy damaged my hardtop. He put three gouges in the top and broke some fasteners to the trim piece above the top of the window on the inside. What was irritating was the glass company tech got mad and tried to deny it and said the scratches were there already. Thankfully, after reading this forum about so many getting their hardtops damaged, I had taken photos prior of the whole area inside and out, proving there was no damage initially. The dealership was nice about it and said they would repair the damage and wanted me to send them the photos. Hopefully, they will repair it without any additional issues. I will probably do the silicone vacuum tubing anyway to prevent it again.

Good thing you took photos. You can’t go wrong with installing this tubing. I did back in the summer a few months ago and no leaks since.

Before I install the rubber/silicone trim (it arrived a few weeks ago)... is it recommended to get some silicone sealer in there as well?

The rubber tubing will eventually need replaced due to sun damage.
So keep that in mind with whatever you put under the tubing that may glue it in place.
