Sounds like the seals they use arent very temperature resistant and are shrinking/expanding with changes in temperature causing the leaks most likely.

it’s not seals, it’s the crappy plastic frame that cracks and leaks.

This happened to mine as well, but luckily I noticed it the next day and the dealership was able to remove the latch off of my old one and install it on the new one. I figured mine was just a fluke, but now that I've seen a couple of them, it seems like everyone needs to check theirs if they get a replacement.
So, went to my glass guy today and we found the new latch, in the Mopar window box, with a broken tab but luckily he went through his trash and found the old one in perfect condition.

That’s great they got it fixed up. Seeing that latch that was broken on the new one, I wonder if that’s what happened to mine.

Yeah, if it wasn't so sad, it would be funny, or at least ironic -some don't like the soft tops "they'll leak, they are so noisy" - and yet - we've not seen any leak issues with them.
Anything can happen, any top can leak - but those don't leak in any numbers to be concerned with.

Seriously unacceptable. This is just one of many examples why I still haven't even brought it up to the dealer. I live in FL, so it rains a lot, but I'm also able to leave the windows open for long periods of time and let everything dry up.

Possible problem with a bed cap and ice. Imagine a block of ice forming between the back window frame and a bed cap an inch away. Then flex. Lots of creaking sounds. Wasn't a problem on our old truck with a solid roof, but the new JT now leaks at the back window. I installed some 1/4" automotive window gasket in the crack above the window. ($12 at the hardware store near the housing window seal stuff.) Can barely get a hand in the gap between the window and the cap to force in the seal, but I got it. Pulled the paper off the adhesive when done, while pushing the seal so it doesn't come out while pulling the paper. Did it in a drizzle, making it easier to move the gasket into the gap. We'll see how it holds up.

Welcome to the "water wagon"!

Find the youtube video explaining the silicone tube hack. I initially installed it a bit too deep but after a little adjusting it's perfect and quite permanent.
