Towing this 2021 Casita Independence to Utah in a few days. Wish I would have grabbed some air bags but, from most of the pictures of Gladiators towing, looks like most tow without bags.

Picked up a new Sasquatch Expedition Campers "Highland 60" Trailer in Silverton, Colorado last weekend, and promptly drove it back to Kansas City.

Very lightweight (less and 2000 lbs) and easy to pull. Totally kitted out with 300 Watts Solar (100 on the roof and 200 deployable), kitchen, Shower with Taruca awning, 270 Taruca Darkwing, Queen sized bedinsice, and a Zero Breeze A/C unit rigged in a storage box.

Highly recommend Sasquatch - great small company and quality build.

2023 Sonic Venture 211DBH, 600lb Tongue, 5k loaded. WDH. Just ran the maiden trip last weekend from Coastal VA to Shanandoah, Luray, VA. The JTRD pulled like a freight train with plenty more to give. Installed Banks Pedal Monster before the trip. Am installing the iDash and Derringer this weekend. Also installed the PowerStop Tow and Performance front brake kit prior to the trip, highly recommended. Anything over 65mph the temps would climb on the hills, but immediately drop on the down slope, during high 80 degree temps and high east coast humidity.

Nice rigs, everyone!

When I tow a camper, I will probably rent. What is the best electric brake setup that can be used universally or at least which is the most common, if they are not all made to a standard?

I use a Curt Echo Bluetooth Brake Controller. No real issues. Pairs with no problem, and can be easily congifured.

It did lose connection on occasion to my phone, but the controller is still active - that is, if you hit the brakes, the trailer responds. You just can't make adjustments or manually engage the brake.

I had a full load between me and the controller, though - so that may have made it less connected. I do trust it though.

I've posted this in a couple of other threads... but it's still appropriate here.

I had used the REDARC but have since moved to the Jeep controller just to be Jeep part and not aftermarket. Both work basically the same and I'd replace with either again.
