Learn fro my experience. There is no fix. Set up your Lemon Law claim. FCA did right by me and bought back my leased vehicle. And I got a discount on my replacement Gladiator. And the replacement is perfect.

In your case there was not. But some have had it resolved. There's apparently not just one single cause for the misfire. Check the other posts - some had it resolved.
You were one of the not-so-lucky ones.

This isn't a "one fix for all" thing.

I dunno-a replacement seems like a good fix. ?‍♂

Yep - Jeep should do the right thing and just buy back those with misfire issues. I fought with mine over and over being told, "we couldn't recreate" only to have it happen again within a week. Wasted way too much time. Traded it in on an EcoDiesel and haven't had an issue since.

They know *something* is wrong. The right thing to do would be to eat it and move on instead of making the customer foot the bill/time/expense.

Even if the misfire is something easily fixed? LOL, really. So you have a problem and want a new truck.
In my wife's case - SPARK PLUGS fixed it. You say she should have gotten a new Jeep instead.

You are saying, not just suggesting, that ALL misfires are caused by complex things for which there is no fix.
That those in this forum who have had their trucks fixed are lying, they should have gotten a new truck, the fix can't possibly have worked.
I find it amazing that folks are saying all misfires are the same root cause and Jeep needs to buy them all back.
Reminds me of those saying Jeep needs to step up and force their suppliers to supply them with replacement parts faster.

I studied this Board for 2 months. I saw no one say their misfire was fixed. If there was a known fix, FCA would have tried it on my truck.

I have no skin in the game, but this post is from March 22nd and I don't recall him posting since then that the fix has now failed.

Pretty sure in these 93 pages, I remember seeing others that say one fix or another worked. Granted, many indicate constant failure.

I've had enough with this lemon of a truck. I bought mine used so I don't have any lemon law rights, but with the used market I'm going to get back exactly what I bought it for—even after putting on an additional 18k miles.

Gonna use that money to order a brand new Mojave from Daniel at Gupton Motors.

11,000 miles, hard top back window leak claim still pending an approval from Jeep for a replacement and I’m with my kids this morning buying some plants to plant with them. We are done, ready to head home, turn on the Glad and it feels like I have a flat tire or am driving a diesel truck this thing was idling so hard. Called service manager who knows me well at this point, explain to him my ECL is blinking and the auto stop start is on non stop and it is driving like I have a flat tire…he says it sounds like a misfire issue (maybe a spark plug) and to bring it in Monday morning…not happy about this, was planning to purchase off lease. Truck was built 8/2019…honestly I have had zero mechanical issues in the 11000 miles I put on it…is this a known issue and if so what’s my future look like? Very disappointed bc The whole family loves the truck…

report date: 07jun2021
Build date: 10Oct19
Mileage when it first occurred: ~10,800
How many times has it occurred: twice, once in mid-May, most recent 31may21
What exact codes did it throw: PO 300 at dealer service bay
Is the issue on going? CEL 'self-healed' 03jun21, prior to going in for today's service appointment
If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue? new camshaft to be installed, per FAC warranty. Never did note any mis-firings, smells or loss-of-power. Just the CEL light.
Was the issue ever fully resolved? not yet . . .

-Bought this (otherwise Great!) truck, (pre-owned w/9M miles) in late March21.
-Had periodic (ultimately self-healing) AutoStop warnings 2-3 times.
-CEL came on 31may. went to dealer 01jun21.
-At the Dealer visit 01Jun the then-existing CEL threw a PO300 code;
-appointment made for follow-up 07jun21.
-CEL went off after gas fill on 03Jun.
-Took the truck to dealer appointment this morning, waited in customer lounge.
(thought this morning's check -was advised- might result in a simple software update, but noooooo.)
-After only 20minutes and without a CEL showing, the service rep informed me the dealership was corporate-authorized to 'replace the camshaft' (!).
-I do not know of any testing done today, but in twenty minutes how much could they do???
- was promised return on 'Thurs/Fri'. Parts on order from Atlanta. We'll see.
-had to cancel this week's fishing trip, dammit.

Question for the Board: My wife & I have a 2400-mile family road trip planned for the third week+ of June. My confidence in a reliable ride from my new-to-me truck has been dented, if not crushed. We have road service memberships. Should a newly-installed-by-an-authorized-dealer camshaft necessarily cause concerns with these long road trip travel plans???

follow up to post #1365

Just returned from a 2700 mile RT, fully loaded with packing boxes.
Success! Nice ride I must say. My confidence has been restored.
After the '2-4-6'cam warrenty-covered replacement and a software update specified to calibrate the 35in tires (not done by the previous owner, grrr...) the trip went smooth and uneventful.
Used Interstates at posted speed most all the way. No CELs or AutoStop hiccups.
This may qualify as 'fixed'; I can only hope so.
Sure would like to see a compilation of this Survey data.
It was VERY helpful to have this thread as an informative reference.
Best wishes to y'all.

Have they replaced the right intake camshaft yet?

Sorry if you've discussed it and I missed it.

I did not own the truck long enough for a cam shaft to be replaced. After rockers were replaced, FCA repurchased my truck in lieu of a Lemon Law claim.

Mine (2021, Dec build, 6MT) has been sitting for 25 days now waiting on a valve cover gasket. Anyone else waiting on this part? Dealer says oil leaked onto O2 sensor causing the codes which seems to be accurate from what I’ve seen others say. I’m only around 6000 miles or so. They say they are waiting on FCA for the part. I like the truck apart from the anemic power and poor gear ratios so I don’t think I want to lemon it…this is only the first time I’ve ever taken it for service but we are getting close to 30 days.
