Are Rubicon take-offs really that prevalent? Do people post them for sale here on the site all the time?
Its an affordable option to change the look of your truck. I don't know how many people told me my truck looked like a completely different truck after I changed the tires and rims and added some side steps.

I don't plan on lifting my Mojave even though it is very tempting.
I'm short and I like being able to reach into the bed as it is now.
I already have to have someone else hold the garage door up and inch or two as it is.
I don't offroad enough to justify bigger tires, it would just be for looks and its just a waste for me as I currently use the truck.

good point on the bed height, I fly fish out of a Kayak that I load into my bed with a bed/hitch extender and it is way easier strapping things down than I had to do with my Ram and I am old

I got a 1.5" leveling kit to reduce the rake. That's as far as I'm going to go unless later on (after some natural dings and scratches) I want to push doing things off road. Steep but minor obstacled hunting trails are as far as my needs currently go, and this truck handles them with ease. Anything beyond that would only occur if I was looking to push limits. My wife is 5'1 and has to use the steps and grab handles to get in as it is. When these Firestones need to be replaced I may go up a tiny bit in tire size, but this Jeep came from Toledo capable of going the places I need it to without breaking a sweat.

My truck is on order; only options are differential, wimpy trailer hitch, and floor mats. Don't want a play-jeep, but a working utility; my 4th new 4x4 in 33 years. "Off-road" isn't fun time, it is just everyday life. And if there are boulders under the truck, I am very lost.

One of the primary reasons for choosing the gladiator is the low liftover to put stuff into the bed; my 5-foot-4-better-half carts around a lot of gardening tools, and full-size pickups are almost over her head! Payload is about the same as my retiring Tundra, which routinely carries over a ton of materials. Maybe the JT can do even more, with back seat, doors, and top removed ;)

Rather than lifting, I am wondering about lowering. Maybe with the first tire changeout, go from the 31" stock, to 28" or 29".

Sacrilege? Wait 'til you see the "Jeep Gladiola" flower decals!

The feature of the Tundra I'll miss most is the roll-down back window. Just stick 16' kayaks (or lumber) in against the headrests, and a single strap holds it all together, with maybe 4' hanging over the tailgate.

A joke was made in another thread about Gladiator owners who don't put a lift kit on, being considered Philistines by the 'lifted' crowd and I thought maybe we could have our own thread here. I bought my Sport-S about 3 weeks ago and I love it. Not that I don't want larger tires, I surely do, but a lift kit isn't in my foreseeable future. It's just too much money for the lift, then for new wheels to accommodate bigger tires. When I wear my tires out in a couple of years, I'll be buying the 285/70R17's which will get me to about a 33'' tire, but until then, I'm perfectly happy running stock.

That doesn't mean I don't partake in other mods, I've converted the entire front set of lights to LED's and I'll be looking at doing other things as well.

Factory Rubicon here. Not lifting it. I will run the factory Falken 33s until they wear out and then go with 35s since I can run them without a lift. My skid mark receiver hitch skid plate should be all I need, without the lower mileage and drivetrain hassles...

I’ve got no plan to add a lift int the traditional sense. Haven’t even explored them. But I did get Rubi take-off shocks and springs, Mojave take-off wheels and tires, and 1.5” Teraflex levelers. Someday when these 33s wear out, I’ll consider moving up to 35s. That’ll just have to do.

Front end level and will never go any higher. Now that supercharger idea mentioned above is on my to do list :)

I like your (Procomp?) wheels. I came very close to those but was worried the color was too close to my billet silver. I went with polished. But I dig the non-black wheels.

Also - I totally appreciate that not everyone needs/wants a lift. I added the mopar 2in to help with 35 clearance and high centering. Didn't want to go too crazy and it was cheap and retained the factory ride.

No lift but I may in future add 2in spacers and 34-35in tires but for now not in my plans. Not that it won't change, I do have a set of rims for another set of tires to go on ? that might end up with 33-34 in size tires. I've pulled the set of stock HT tread tires on rims out to posable install just to wear them out over this year. As mine currently has about 1 1/2 to 2 in of travel to bump stops in rear the spacers wouldn't be a bad deal.

No problem just get a soft top for the gladiator and take the back window out

Since you don't have the Max Tow with wider axles, put on a Rubicon take-off suspension and add 35s maybe? I got 35x12.5x17 to fit on my Sport S with Max Tow without a lift. Swapped for Rubicon fender flares but they were not needed even when wheeling.

No intention of lifting. I like the lower center of gravity
