Whelp! Just like everyone here has described. Rattle Noise, power loss, dead. Pretty sure it’s the fuel pump. Left my wife and I on a sketch 2 lane road a mile from the house. Had AAA drop it off to the dealer. hope to find out what’s up this week.

Mainly posting to document with @JeepCares . Not sure what the next steps are.

A buddy of mine had a similar story. Was out in the backcountry of Colorado. Ended up camping in a stranger's front yard. They were nice enough to let him stay the night until the tow truck arrived the next day. Gladiator had less than 5k miles on it. Covered fully.

If you're within the warranty time frame, you should be fine. Still sucks that it left you stranded but there shouldn't be any out-of-pocket expenses.

Sorry man…

I’m curious what mileage are you at? Any use of EDT or similar in the fuel?

I believe they do and report what they can, and I'm sure the Jeep Cares people have good intentions, but I agree nothing meaningful ever happens. They can only report the issues, but management have to act on it - and that's where the rub is.

In the last 5k miles did you perform any fuel system maintenance? Have you replaced the fuel filter or drained the water separator and not primed the system? Any chance the fuel level got low and introduced air into the lines?

Best of luck and you are within the bumper to bumper mileage and certainly within the 100k powertrain warranty mileage. Keep us posted.

Yep, that's why you couldn't pay me to have another Eco motor. Worst engine I've ever had.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't anymore.

You get to pick from HPFP issues with the EcoDiesel, P0300 issues with the Gas V6 and Stellantis is slow to fix both.

This happen to my Jeep Gladiator on May 5th of this year. I called the Jeep Wave # from the app and they set me up with a case manager right away. It was towed to a dealership (the closest). That dealership which will not be named had terrible reviews and was very not helpful. The next morning I towed the Jeep to Huntington Beach Jeep on my own dime. In the meantime, I pick up a rental also on my own. The next day when I got to HB Jeep they took the time to explain the processes and it sounded like the HPFP failed. I returned my rental and they set me up with a rental from their rental department with direct billing to Jeep. They also called me back in a few days and reported it was the HPFP which is the current recall. I was also reimbursed by Jeep for the rental I originally paid for and the towing to the HB Jeep from the original Jeep dealer it was towed to. I was then called by the Jeep specialist and they offered to do a buyback which I declined. My case was escalated to a retention specialist. According to the dealership, they do not have a current fix I am looking at September or October. In the meantime, I have a rental paid for until it is fixed, they offered that once it is fixed I get to drive the Jeep and decide if I still want the Jeep or they can still do the buy-back offer since I chose to wait and have it repaired. They also said they if I still wanted to keep the Jeep once fixed, they would let me pick either an extended warranty or a maintenance plan and also pay my truck payments while the truck was waiting to be fixed. So far, Jeep cares does care. The dealership and Stellantis have been great. It sucks not having my Jeep and Jeep is making the best given the situation. Everything will be covered because it is part of the current recall.

This is how the process should work. Keep a cool head, understand it's mechanical and it will work out one way or another to your satisfaction.

Great advice. Yeah, it was only a matter of time. “Always look on the bright side of life”.
service manager just called me. I’m one of 3 in the shop for what he also thinks is the fuel pump based on my description of what happened. he Has only received bits of info from the met about replacement parts and timing. No more replacing with the same faulty pumps. Just waiting for the new and improved one. Latest info is August. He gave me the same advice as you state but said it all depends.

He also said they may offer to buy the truck back. I laughed and said no way. I custom ordered this truck and I’m not going to give it back. Just want it fixed.

more to come.
