This is most likely due to federal lemon laws. If a vehicle is in the shop for the same issue multiple times, or is there for over a certain amount of time(~30 days?), they have to offer to buy it back. It's part of the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act. I'm no expert, but look it up if you're curious. That's what I did.Wow! A buyback offer on a $50 K Vehicle for a fuel pump that costs a couple hundred dollars...
Mine is currently running and i hope it will stay that way because I don't intend on letting them buy it back from me.
