We were in the market last year and went with an R-Pod 180. Weighs 2900 dry and 3500 loaded. Tows great. If you’re planning on towing in the mountains, I really would t go much bigger. The R-Pod is a lightweight design, narrower than most with a slide out. We chose the 180 plan as it’s perfect for two people, has a large bathroom, and the entire camper can be utilized with the slide out still in. Take a look at these. We looked at teardrops, A-Liners etc., and for us this was the best solution. It’s nice having everything you need. The others were lacking something. We bought used and saved thousands over new. Did some maintenace and upgrades and still thousands ahead of the game. Plus, I now know a ton about it. I’m lifted on 37’s re-geared to 5:13 and get 10-12 mpg.

We have a 180 as well. Nice little trailer. We pull it using an Anderson WDH and have 0 problems but would not want to pull any heavier with a Gladiator. We started with a Casita but found it to be just a touch to small.

I’ll throw in our Gulf Stream 19ERD, 3100 lbs. dry , 4100 max, tows great run a Blue Ox Sway Pro WDHitch. Wife wanted a walk around queen bed and rear dinette with wrap around windows, I wanted the next size smaller at 2600 pounds dry but no walk around bed. We love it tows great, we had a deposit on a new 2021 and got it down to $24,000 but stumbled on a barely used 2016 for $14,000.
Try and stay with a narrower 7-7.5 foot wide camper, for view in mirrors and wind drag is less. I had wanted two axles but lost out but did upgrade to heavier duty Hanook tires huge difference. We about to retire in couple years and this is a good size for a couple traveling …Jack

2021 Sport S with Max Tow, lifted on 35's with 4.56 gears. Geo Pro 20FBS, pulls pretty good, still screaming in 4th up any type of incline, just something you have to get used to. Averaging 12.5 MPG while towing.

I have a Colman 17b. 21' total length, about 4000# loaded up. I bought it because I wanted to upgrade from tent camping with my family of 4. At the time it was the least expensive, new camper that included a queen bed, two bunks and bathroom. It's a "cheap" camper that still has everything. At some point I'll upgrade to something nicer but I knew I wasn't going to use it more then 4 or 5 times a year so couldn't justify spending more.
I have a max tow and it pulls it just fine, no complaints. I do want to put air bags in the rear just to take out some squat but all and all it tows great.

What size trail manor do you have, we currently have an A Liner but as the kids grow we're going to need more space

We have a 2619 which is 26 open and 19 foot tow. We love it, fits in your garage and opens up to a full travel trailer.
Great for kiddos with the bunks.

Our Nucamp T@B pulls nicely behind our JT and is the same width, so we can go in almost any parking lot and the truck/trailer fits in all tandem parking spaces. It has a queen size bed that doubles as a U shaped sofa with a pop up table. AC, Refrigerator, sink, stovetop, bathroom with shower, and entertainment system. They aren't cheap but ours has served us well for 7 years.
