Fresh oil, oil filter, and air filter.
I wiped the mud off the mirrors and headlights. And I sweet talked it and patted it flush on the dash.

I finally got around to fixing the left rear fender that I tore off about a year and a half ago.
I used to be able to rehang it on the broken clips but it got to where it was hanging by a thread (two clips on each end). Two of the screws on the inner liner were pulled through too.
With the two clips that broke while removing the fender I had 13 out of 15 broken.
Now it is solid and ready for some rough roads without almost falling off.
Now I just have to learn how not to tear it off again.

Zip ties are your friend here if you can get em tight enough. At least that what I used to use on the road racer to save damage and allow it to break away more easily.

Yes they are but they are only bandaids and it’s been needing proper fixing for far too long. I have some on the rear right from when I pulled that one of in the desert 2 weeks ago. I was going to takle that in today but wanted to make sure I have a full set of clips before I pull it off.

That’s fair. I have metal ones but if still was on the plastic I’d have em zipped on to break away.

They breakaway with the clips but not as easily. The inner liner has 3 screws that will break through the liner if the whole assembly tears off. You can see in my second pic that I added bigger washers because the two end ones broke through. The fender was holding on by the center screw and 4 clips on the fender. I just have to remember that I have a long butt hanging out that can hang up if I don't pay attention.

I finally remembered to take a pic of the zip ties on the right side fender.

Damn, so I heard you can use this to shine up your plastics on the jeep. Prolly could be used for this instance to relieve some of that cost up the ol' b hole!

The term "with no vaseline" comes to mind.

Yeah, kinda caught me by surprise too. I checked my last service that also had a fuel filter and that service cost $280. They charged $150 just for the 9 quarts of oil according to the bill. I am supposed to do all my service there to maintain my forever warranty crap, but for those prices I think they can eat a variety pack of dicks.

The Magnusen-Moss Warranty Act makes it quite illegal for the dealership to force you to go there to do regular maintenance in order to keep your warranty in effect.

Go where you like.
