Was thinking about this more today. He's getting the better end of that deal.
I've seen the work your putting into it.
I roll em up close then sit down scoot up to it real close stick my feet under each side lift up slide it on the studs and start one of the top ones then I make sure center .then add the rest by handOrdered a hydraulic tire Dolly, I can’t no longer lift my 35” tires to work on brakes etc… 🥹.
Not even can do that, 1 knee surgery and surgery in both shoulders, it’s getting hard as we agedI roll em up close then sit down scoot up to it real close stick my feet under each side lift up slide it on the studs and start one of the top ones then I make sure center .then add the rest by hand
That's some good thinking. Was thinking about this more today.
Some things that we need to adjust slightly to enjoy using the boat - like some better anchors, rope, etc - we plan to keep a tote handy that will be our boat stuff that will stay with us when he uses it. Items that will transfer to whatever vessel we get next.
I told her we'd get a weatherproof duffle bag to to throw some other things in then we can just toss the whole bag in the boat when we go out.
I was even going to use a magnet mount on top of the console to hold a Garmin and they sell a clamp on mount for the transom to hold the transducer. So again, I can attach my equipment quickly and easily and plug it in and use it, and take it off when not.
Makes him not feel obligated to give money for upgrades I'm doing for my use, and protects my stuff for my own use later.
Ain’t that the truth!!! I can still do it but 1.5 Achilles tendons doesn’t help a whole lot using my legs in that way. I still need to pick one of those cool jack things up.Not even can do that, 1 knee surgery and surgery in both shoulders, it’s getting hard as we aged.
Long drive.That's some good thinking.
When your done, want to borrow my boat next?
@ArcticDreadnought Guess where I went tonight?I know EXACTLY what pullout you were on. Good choice for a short ride up the mountain. Hell of a view. Next: FLATTOP. Or at least keep going past the Flattop (Glen Alps) trailhead parking lot, to these coordinates: 61.10138484963243, -149.69246967061267
Trust your local Dreadnought pilot.
It was a fun drive with gorgeous views. A beautiful spot like you said. Need to catch a sunset from there one night. Thank you for the recommendation!I REALLY want to buy that land on the right side of the road and plop a house there. Beautiful spot, is it not?
Looks like you had a great time! Wonderful views as well!Took a couple of days in Hope, AK at the Porcupine Campground. Spent the early part of the 3rd day going up Palmer Creek Road to Coeur D'Alene Campground. Lovely three days. Next week: Denali National Park.
