Freedom panels and front doors off all weekend!
Learned that driving on the interstate with no doors is scary - felt like the wind was going to pull me out. Did mostly alternate routes after that.
Do it enough and you get used to it. The real test is doors off on the interstate at night šŸ˜³

Friday, another forum member @darksidedesign was kind enough to video a climb on the hotel rock trail near Blanding Utah, during a jamboree we both attended. What a great trail. Will definitely do it again. Also attached is one of him rolling over a cool off camber ridge yesterday. The video doesnā€™t do it justice.

Gotā€™r stuck for the first time. Doesnā€™t look like it, but it wasnā€™t budging. High centered on the diffs and who knows what else. All 4 wheels were spinning unimpeded at idol.

I took a buddy of mine and his wife and kid to earn their badge in Osceola. To say this place is in dire need of extensive trail maintenance is an understatement. We cleared 10-15 fallen trees blocking the trail, which was tighter thanā€¦well use your imagination. The day before I was checking out the DeWalt 12ā€ chainsaw and should have gotten it. About 200-300 yards from the end of the trail there was a 12-18ā€ tree down about grill high. We had to backtrack and find a way out. Kind of fun, but damn it was tight. No doubt will my ride need a good detail!

Oh yeah I forgot to addā€¦I broke off my Quadratec 13 inch AM/FM radio antenna. The sucker snapped right at the base.

Schnikeies! Everyone is safe, itā€™s a success. Get in get out and still intact is awesome! Get stuck? Whatever. It happens.

I see pictures like this and I think itā€™s super ballsy guys drive down these trails because I would hate to get stuck waist deep or flood my Jeep, but goes to show how capable they are!

The last time I drove down the pipeline road it was dry, so I knew about how deep it would be. What I didnā€™t expect was someone probably with 40ā€™s ran through it and trenched it ultimately leaving me look like a toddler sitting on a bar stool swinging my feet in the airā€¦lol

I'll have to agree especially since I've been on a few trails in Ocala N.F. and happened to pre run a trail with a few buddies before we met up with a new owner of a Rubicon TJ years ago.... the "Big Dogs" ran the creek and trenched it out before we came back the other direction. The 2 Wranglers couldn't budge my XJ with snatch straps and my winch line was to short to reach the tree. So Eric's Jeep hooked to tree then winch to his tow hook.

Muck water up to top of door handles and yes inside of Jeep too.water/ mud was over 54 inches deep. Note on older Jeeps they're not as water resistant as newer ones. šŸ˜³ :like:

Itā€™s going to take me months to find the time to buff out all of the pin striping received on this trail last weekend. They need to remark this badge of honor trail for ATV / SxS only get someone in there to do some trail maintenance. My shorty antenna snapped and I have a scratch on a flare that went through the paint.

Iā€™m not opposed to trail damageā€¦well I am, because you shouldnā€™t go looking for it, but itā€™s not like I can say I was off camber enough and was doing some hair raising maneuver. Itā€™s just a poorly maintained trail. Specifically, the trails around the bullseye.

We got out and looked at pulling this one to the side like we had 10-20 times before on this trip, but there was a wasp nest with swarming little devils.

Oh yeah, any time you open a window or door you get up to thumbnail sized horse flies in your rig. Be sure to wear a šŸ§¢. Itā€™s the best remedy!!!
