Who says a Gladiator can't do truck stuff? Today I bought one and a half yards of 1.5" red lava rock to build a border around my front yard. The material cost $79 per yard and the rockery wanted $95 to deliver it about 1/2 mile so I said just dump it in the Jeep!

Quick run on the pass for some camping with the kids before school.
Crawled up on a rock ledge I have been eyeing. Killer view. Safe spot for a fire. Threw up the tent.
Great trip.

Took the family up to mammoth, first time we’ve gone in summer. Lots to do there! Apparently we happened to go in the middle of “afternoon rainstorm week.”

We saw Devil’s Postpile and hiked to Rainbow Falls.

We explored the Lakes Basin above town and had a bear walk right up alongside us.

Drove up to June Lake and pretended to fish.

Drove up to East entrance of Yosemite and swam in Tenaya Lake. Temps were perfect low 70s, meanwhile 4500 ft lower in Yosemite Valley the high was 96🤮
As we left we got a few minutes of pea sized hail! Didn’t get a pic in time though..
