Yesterday -
Buddy has a new to him Wrangler, and they wanted to go out for some minor wheeling and have some other fun. I knew where to take them.

Friday we didn't think they've have enough water to run. Saturday they had plenty.
By Monday morning the swollen river was getting out of its banks and it washed the ferry ashore on the South side landing.

That was us for the previous three years. Now it rains all the time. La Nina to El Nino.
If historical patterns hold true, we're in for quite a winter here in the mid Atlantic region.

For several years now, we've had dry years, some worse than others, this one particularly bad. The thing is - when you watch the TV news it doesn't look as bad because it's really spotty. A few miles south of us they got 5" in a week - they needed it.
We've not seen that in 2 months. I see systems develop and head toward us, then dissipate or split and go north and south around us. It's like there's a barrier in this part of the county.
Freaky.

Anyway, man bummer on that ferry. Looks like an interesting part of the country to drive around in and see.

They're saying they'll have to rent a crane to get it back in the water. It weighs a lot.

Took it camping this weekend in Bald Eagle State Forest in PA. It was the maiden voyage for the RTT and the family had a lot of fun. Got in a nice jeep trail this morning called Sharpback Hollow Rd. It was a fun trail, though did take a chance at ruining the cover of the RTT with pinstriping, no holes though! Definitely will be going back out to Bald Eagle State Forest

Took it to a cookout a half-hour away, realized we need some real stay straps for the bed instead of my cheapo bungees, and almost took the doors off until we realized the mirrors came with! My Bronco doesn't have that problem ?

Its so smooth to drive and steer, we've owned it a week and look for reasons to jump in, the roof will come off once the hot weather passes later this week!
