That’s how you party. My buddy bought a used 21' Blazer bass boat hull and hung a 300HP Verado on the back of it
The only HP limit you have in Louisiana is your desire to live.

Same here…we have the whole sonar setup w/ mega imaging (which can be incredible if you’re able to get it setup right for the conditions. Marking your path along the way…extremely important!Gotta know where you are going for a whole different reason down here.
My buddy records GPS path when he goes out so he can find his way back. So many mazes from oil exploration.
Just a small example.
Wow…. you’re allowed to do that down there??My buddy bought a used 21' Blazer bass boat hull and hung a 300HP Verado on the back of it

I thought you was mounting that RTT on the trailer ? Did you get a different type ?I am working on that myself for my trailer during its Winter upgrades its getting. With the clearance mine has I am thinking I will do a under bed hoist style mount.
I can't think of any lakes we have that are horsepower limited unless they are privately owned. I think there is one on the Texas/LA border that might be.Wow…. you’re allowed to do that down there??
Around here (Pennsylvania) - the boats have limits of how much horsepower you can put on any given boat based on its size, etc. . And there are limits to what (weight) the boat can carry.
They (PA Fish & Boat Commission) are strict about it…... Even on the small electric only lakes, they’ll pull you over and inspect everything.
I do mount it on top of the rack that I built. I have it taken apart right now. Rack is getting powdercoated. I added a used decked drawer system to it recently. As soon as it warms back up a tad I will be painting it. Once its painted I will get it all put back together.I thought you was mounting that RTT on the trailer ? Did you get a different type ?
As long as the hull and transom are rated for the hp, I don’t know why Hp would be limited. Everywhere I’ve been it’s just been that. Can’t put more hp on than the boat’s capacity plate allows.Wow…. you’re allowed to do that down there??

Up where Janster lives it's a real thing. As long as the hull and transom are rated for the hp, I don’t know why Hp would be limited. Everywhere I’ve been it’s just been that. Can’t put more hp on than the boat’s capacity plate allows.
Correct…and that’s what I was referring to… horsepower ‘rating’.As long as the hull and transom are rated for the hp, I don’t know why Hp would be limited. Everywhere I’ve been it’s just been that. Can’t put more hp on than the boat’s capacity plate allows.

The Louisiana Bayou the final frontier...to go where no man has ever gone before....and came back fromI love waterways like that. To be able to go places others don’t know the route to get to.
Cuz you gotta watch out for Amos Moses!!!!The Louisiana Bayou the final frontier...to go where no man has ever gone before....and came back from![]()
Well, they can't spend all of their money on corruption related expenses if we buy sand and salt trucks to service all of the paved roads for the two days a year that we need them - so ends up being 'cheaper' to shut down for a couple days.Speaking on Louisiana...
Today, in MN, I drove my truck to work... in 10 degrees... and on icy roads... and I didn't die!!
HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!?!
In all seriousness, I get that the south doesn't regularly see winter conditions, but it DOES happen every year, and every year no one is prepared and it's the end of the world. It just makes me chuckle.
I read this morning on bookface a post from some weather reporter. He stated he talked to one of the truck drivers that was stranded, and the driver wasn't shutting his truck off for fear it wouldn't start again because it's 20 degrees out. And to pray for all the folks stranded in these freezing temps.Well, they can't spend all of their money on corruption related expenses if we buy sand and salt trucks to service all of the paved roads for the two days a year that we need them - so ends up being 'cheaper' to shut down for a couple days.
