Getting there is half the fun. Good job on the rescue. :like:
Thanks, there were a couple of times when the 3.0L really showed it's stuff, and having the heaviest rig works well when anchoring for winching.

This was the deepest snow I've ever been in with stock tires, and they handled it really well. I'm back to debating running 35" pizza cutters (and maybe 37") once the lift goes on.

My wife thinks I’m crazy for buying the commercial rolls of TP off Amazon. Those big ones like in the grocery store. $60 and I have TP for a year.
Wait…wait…. I’d like to interject here…. 😁
Does your wife buy her own toilet paper? If not, she should!!!
That commercial grade toilet paper is like using a scrubbie pad.
Let’s not forget…. You guys use toilet paper…what? Once a week?? 🤣

Responded Sunday to a Wrangler and Bronco that got stuck in deep snow on one of the year-round trails Saturday. Both drivers walked out of the trail and got home safely Saturday night.

Rolled out of the house at 08:45 and got off the trail at 16:00 and back in the front door at 18:00 or so. We got the two vehicles out of there; they were originally unstuck fairly quickly. The rest of it was getting the Bronco unstuck again when we decided to first try going forward to complete the trail. Decided to turn everyone around and go back to the start of the trail about a kilometre back. Then getting one of the rescue vehicles (an '99 Cherokee) unstuck after it got into a ditch turning around. The rest was winching almost every other truck up a long, steep hill. (The stuck Bronco lost 4wd and the Wrangler was a sport with open difs and bad tires). Everyone got out safely and uninjured, and I was reminded again that my first build in the spring is installing my winch. Did I mention it was -18ºC?

The first picture is the two stuck trucks. The rest are parts of the rescue.
Great Job!!
..….no common sense ……🙄 They should’ve never been there in the first place.

I don’t know how many times I’ve run across people/situations… Sure, you can drive that trail or dirt road all day long (and backwards) in the spring and summer. They have absolutely NO concept of what snow/ice does to change the whole dynamic & difficulty of those trails.

Kinda like Staples “Easy Button”……they need a “THINK” button. 🤪

Ha! Yes she does. We’re on septic so no 14 ply down filled stuff here though. I just do it to lighten the load and in case we need it. That’s one of those great things about our good neighbor first name, San last name ,Andreas. I put plenty back of that and other stuff back because we live in the sticks so not a high priority for emergency response if catastrophic things happen. Less population density=less priority.

They did a few things right - they didn't wheel alone, the Bronco had some recovery gear - winch, collapsable shove, and traction pads (not boards). The Wrangler, however, those tires were down to "no" tread. It was also leaking oil, and I told the owner to get it looked at ASAP.

Copied from another version of this thread, because there's a few and just realized this one seems more active.

Well my grandmother slid into a ditch early yesterday morning, and called me for a tow out before calling AAA. I've posted some of the dash cam footage below. I didn't have the rearview camera installed so bear with me.

EDIT: I tried uploading directly to the forums, but after 30 minutes of "uploading" with no update, I just posted to YT and it took under 5 minutes. Anyone else have issues uploading a sub-200mb video to the foms?

As long as the hull and transom are rated for the hp, I don’t know why Hp would be limited. Everywhere I’ve been it’s just been that. Can’t put more hp on than the boat’s capacity plate allows.
Lake St Louis MO limits outboards to 150. Had been 125 for years.

Drove all the way North to the end of South Padre Island for the sunrise, past the nude beach, no beach goers. Starting out the evening with sunset and drinks.

Went up Cottonwood Canyon this morning.

Toyed around with the new suspension and tires. The rear end seems to flex fine, but the front end needs some work. Apex Autolynx incoming.
