Hauled in 16 8x16 cinder blocks to build a base for my gravity fed drip irrigation for some trees out front. This is kind of a proof of concept thing at this point. Trash can as a reservoir tapped for a 3/8 spigot on the bottom, inverted lid to catch rainwater but now it just going to be used for a weekly hose fill. That runs to a sunrise waterer on 2 AA batteries and hopefully there’s enough gravity to feed the entire line of droppers into tree spikes. I figure if I water it every day at 20-30 minutes the ground will loosen up and these trees will have a chance to thrive. It’s a chore to water enough here dragging 100’ of hose out every evening. Can’t leave it out or the squirrels will gnaw it to get to the water inside.

On Topic: even with 16 blocks in there the bed didn’t sag at all. I’m fairly impressed even though this suspension is going the way of the dodo when I get enough funds in to change it up. I did feel the load a bit but nothing too crazy. Load was up near the bulkhead right over the axle because I are smart.

Rain in the morning, mud in the evening. Apex Autolynx for the WIN!! No need to get on the ground anymore.

Little bit of all terrain on Drummond Island. Rock, boulder, shelves, ledges, water, mud....... Our favorite of the day was Walkers Trail. Morning rain made the mud a lil slick, had to plan on my long ass sliding around a couple trees. Finished a slick day without any damage, success.

Went to Hidden Falls Adventure Park for the first time. Did all the trails in about 2.5hrs. Some good challenges, but unfortunately, too many giant dropoffs to do without a buggy so bypasses are needed.

It's still about 5+ hours north of where I'm located, but the closest thing there is around here for decent off-roading. I'll eventually hit it up.

I washed it. Well. Pelican Pointe did.

And it took me to Arby's.

And it took me to Aldi.

And it flexed in the ditch in front of the house and I drug the hitch hard on the road in front of the house so I need to find out what I did with my hitch skid before going to Utah.

Yesterday I did a short 2+ hour road trip to my cousin's house near Shenandoah NP. First time out driving since knee surgery last week. Turns out he's about 45 minutes from Peter's Mill Run.

Had I planned better and left my house earlier in the day I'd have knocked out the Badge of Honor trail but it took me a bit to locate the gas station that sells the OHV passes near the north end of the trail. I didn't have the time to enjoy the trail and had to get back home to feed the mongrel. Now that I know where it is and where to get the permit, I'll be headed back down in a few weeks to hit the trail.

Maybe get a group of us together?

Yeah definitely worth it for an overnight camp too. Could make it a little longer with a good group and sightseeing. One day I'll get up to MERUS, but this is only an hour drive for me so it'll do.

I go down to SPI and hit the beach on beach access 6 North past the nude beach, or go down to Boca Chica past the eyesore of SpaceX and the couple hundred Cybertrucks, to the border and hang out. It's the beach at least.
