3) its agonizingly slow with terrible on-road manners
I noticed that going to Rubicon shocks up front from my Max Tow shocks, seemed to open up the steering.

Does anyone actually go off road anymore, or use their Jeeps for the intended purpose.

Sorry, just can't get into the show and shine, neon light up the ground, big wheel and small ducks.

My only complaint is they can find MT/ATs in those crazy sizes yet I can hardly find a 35x11.5 ?

Funny how some of these responses from here are calling me out for ranting. I could care less what someone does to their "Jeep" or any other vehicle. My post was "a assumption" that the more events I go to, the less off road built Jeeps I see. And it's not just Florida, it's all over the nation.

Are we loosing the next generation to carry on with the off road community? Does the young people coming up care more about environmental protections and closing land? Would they rather build a show Jeep that never sees dirt? Most young people I see offroad are tearing up the land and leaving trash. That maybe my rant.

If that is considered a rant, than so be it. Last year at Jeep Beach, I saw more vendors selling angry grills, big wheels, massive speakers and other street queen products. More than the year before.
I was driving on the beach looking for an available spot to park and came upon a very long row of "Street Jeeps" from south Florida. They had a few spots opened. The reaction I got from them when I attempted to pull in was not a welcoming reaction. I ended up finding a spot next to an old man in a CJ-5. He and I sat on the beach and ranted.

I am probably with you on 90% of it, but you got to let some things go and not get all wound up in it. Some scenes are just not your scene and just let them do their own thing.

It's probably the events you're going to then, depending on the events I go to I see different vehicles - cars and coffee, I see fancy street rides and very few off road vehicles.
I go to one of the Jeep club events and I see all off road vehicles and no fancy street rides...

Personally, I would never go to Jeep beach and expect to see a ton of overlanders or off-roaders... It's kind of just a beach party...

Mostly any event that is 'Jeep' related, that isn't specifically at an off-road park or trailhead, will be crowded with plenty of street Jeeps.

That’s like going to a Rap show in Compton and complaining that nobody listens to Iron Maiden anymore. . .

Some of the best looking jeeps I have seen will never leave the pavement and probably stay in the garage when it snows. I have the same thought about jeeps with winches that will never be used because most people who do go off road in newer vehicles will avoid the places that will tear up their vehicle or get it stuck including myself. The last time I was stuck off road I had to have the engine rebuilt on the YJ so I avoid that kind of stuff these days

Not true.
As frivolous as Jeep Beach is, they do have technical trail rides throughout the week. Might not be for everyone, but at least they try to provide a challenge outside of driving up and down a beach all week.

Wait till the street ride scene happens to the 6G Bronco. That is going to be fun to watch.

Then why are they buying a Jeep? Why can't they stay within their wheelhouse of low riders, street rides, bouncing classics? The Bubba Truck people stay in their lane. The squatter truck group stays in their lane. The Jeep community needs to take back our heritage.

Who am I kiding - I'm just ranting. It don't matter to me what they do, it's their money.
Take comfort brother, you’ll never see them squatting around your favourite back country hideaway.
