The Lights and Camera are not well thought out. But if you want to ensure you have light at night in Reverse, you may want to think about maybe adding some lights, I did all oracle on the back. Picture is during the day, but I am sure you can imagine what Nighttime, will look like

I thought I liked that racetrack light, but the more I see it the more I realize I just like the black stripe and getting rid of the Jeep logo. (not because of this pic, but seeing them in person.)
I do want to go to the flush taillights but they seem to fall into two categories: Really expensive, or people say they fail left and right.

I agree really strong backup lights help a lot - need to get my Oracles back into the bumper of this new JT, will have to wait until things settle a bit here.

Picture taken in the AM on a clear day, garage lights on, sun shining in that east window.

I installed the Oracle flush mount lights along with the rear bumper backup lights. The washout from the license plate late was no longer an issue. When the flush mount taillights inevitably failed, I installed another aftermarket taillight. The washout problem was again a problem. I installed a relay to turn them off when in reverse. I still think the rear view at night was better with the flush mount taillights even with the license plate lights on.

2.5 years in now and I've not found it to be a problem, maybe the license plate color affects it? Mine is black, maybe the ones with a white background are causing the problem?

Easy test, take your plate off and back up, see if you notice a difference.

On my 2022, it was the lights themselves - you could see the bars of light from those side lights obscuring the view.
My 2020 it wasn't really a big deal. The oracle backup lights in the bumper helped my 2022. I finally did rig a relay in that one.
So far, the 2025 isn't a problem - we'll see as the sun moves south and things change here.

My tazer has been acting up after either some tazer update or the some OTA Jeep update. I appreciate the license plate light toggle, had been working for a long time, and the 3honk disable when you get out with the keys. They all of a sudden they stopped working, winch and anchor mode I've never got to work, I have the diesel so I kinda figured some things wouldn't translate since I'm in the vast majority of gladiators. Thankfully, the auto stop start still works or I'd be looking for something pointy to stick in my ear.
I contacted Tazer about these issues. I have a 2022 JTRD and had features seem like they were turning themselves off after a while. They said that if the truck sits for a while and the battery drops below a certain voltage, it can cause some of the features to reset. I also asked about winch mode. At the time (last year sometime) they said winch mode was not yet available for the diesel because they were still working on it. There have not been any updates released since I asked about it. I'm assuming they just gave up on it especially since the diesel has been discontinued.

Wow, that either has a really high threshold to forget settings, or, the batteries in these cases are extremely low which indicates much larger problems for the Jeep in general.

So - do they say what that voltage is - or is it just a generic "gets low enough" meaning - they aren't really sure, IMO.

I should have asked that question but didn't. What makes me think that it is true is if I drive my jeep every day (constantly recharging my battery) I don't notice it. If my jeep sits for several days, it will most likely happen.

I have helped the issue with a piece of electricians tape, that I used a hole punch to leave a small 1/8’s” hole I found through a few tries at 3 o’clock on drivers side, 9 o’clock on passengers side to work best, that helps actually illuminate the plate, but not drown out the camera view. Whenever it rains though I have to replace it. I’m sure I can make it last permanently, but want to be able to put back to original. Even though we have no inspections in Florida. Oh and I have the LED lighting package throughout my Gladiator except the head/fog lights.
Sounds like a solution that someone with a 3D printer could make and have snap into place. I'd buy a set.

I talked to the tazer people to, they told me all the stuff worked with the diesel. They could really work on their interface to make it programmable from the computer app. I digress though, on my JTRD I do get the 'battery low, aux switches not available' message, usually when it's a little chilly. That does make sense with what they told you about the tazer memory and battery........ That's got to be the ASS battery that's driving that, I've only heard issues and headaches with those.

I'm going to continue using reference as the ASS battery, sorry if that offends, but if you drive a JTRD with auto stop start, you know why it shouldn't have ever been a thing.

And what causes that if you don't even have the auxiliary battery?

It's simply a LOW VOLTAGE thing, not the aux battery.
If you don't drive it enough or long/far enough, often enough, the batteries get low - BOTH of them, and you'll get that message, even if you don't even have an aux battery.
I know that for a fact because my wife's Jeep has given that message and had low voltage messages, switches not available and so on. No aux battery in her Jeep.
Sorry, too much of what you read is just wrong or people assuming or angry there's such a battery.
Aux switches not available simply means LOW voltage. Nothing more or less, because they run from the main, too.

Spray can of PlastiDip would be a good fix. Stick a round sticker on, spray over it and then pick the sticker out. I've found plastidip to be better than I expected. And removal was really easy with goo gone and a pressure washer and it was gone in seconds.

I've been on the fence with them too. I love the look at night but it does look cheap in the daylight on lighter colored trucks. Maybe the blacked out version would look better in the daylight?
Quality wise, my initial set of tailights failed and the LED strip even came loose inside the housing. Oracle replaced them for free. The new ones have been flawless. I do love the backup lights
