Ophir, huh? Surprised I didn't recognize that. Drove it a couple years ago when running the TransAmerica Trail. You can see it again here, if interested (9:04 if not forwarded) ...

Nice video! Well...you didn't recognize Ophir because I just realized I didn't post any from there, haha! Good eye!

Here they are.

Man, I am so jealous of the scenery you guys get to see and explore. I live in a beautiful area with ocean scenes everywhere you turn but nothing like this.
A ditch is a holler and a mole hill is a mountain. The rest is flat, wet, and boring.

Crystal Mill Outside of Marble, Colorado.
Very long drive from the Springs. Like 5 hours. Worth it. GO EARLY. It gets gummed up with hikers, atvs and other 4x4 if you go later in the day. I was on trail by 10am and it was not too bad. Kid at the mill said it gets nuts from noon til 2. He was right. I was on my way out and traffic was picking up.
You can look from the ropes for free but it's $10 per person to go down to the water and scramble around on the rocks. Good BBQ joint in Marble, right at the entrance for the trail. $15 for a brisket sandwich and fries.

5ish miles of off-roading to get to the Mill. I was in 4 low, stock suspension and 33s.
Low end moderate to easy in my opinion. I'm not an expert off road person and I just went slow and picked my lines.
Some sections are narrow with steep drops. I scout for pull off areas as traffic goes both ways. Some mud, but lots of loose sharp rocks. Some areas with more technical options or a choice of an easier route. I think the steepest I saw was an 11% grade. Jeep was not too happy with the altitude 9k feet. There was a stock Durango 2020 or 2019 that followed me in for a mile then dropped out, parked and hiked. A couple in a RAV4 or Lexus crossover decided it was too much and bummed a ride. Dude in a Subaru Outback bottomed out like mad and trashed his car.
Scenery is cool if you dig the ghost town vibe. I would imagine it's awesome when the aspens change. You can continue on and do Devil's Punch Bowl for a more advanced experience. I don't have skid plates or frankly the skill set to engage in that as on a solo mission, so I elected not to go that route and just went back the way I came in.

Found an [unofficial] RTI ramp... ;)

Behind my storage unit. :CWL:

Not bad for a spacer lift and 37’s...with the sway bar disconnected. It’s stuffing those 37’s!

Getting dirty at the "compound" in East Central florida, space coast. Just put on 3.5 RC lift and 37x12.50r17 pats. Had to test them out. At one point I had her teetering on 2 wheels. Otherwise, handled perfectly, never got stuck, and it was wet, but not overly muddy.

Did you have the front swaybar disconnected? That would let your front tire droop more. While rocking is part of the challenge, it is safer to keep all four tires in contact with the ground. That is the primary reason Jeep does not go with an IFS. Since you don't have a Rubi with an e-disco, you can still crawl underneath your Gladiator with a few wrenches and do the disconnect in about ten minutes. Or you can install quick discos that make it happen in a couple.

That was ouray/telluride area.
Love Ouray. Only been there once, but found an absolutely incredible camping area in the amphitheater formation. Gorgeous views there- but a little white knuckle on the highways, haha!

I did not disconnect, since florida mostly flat and muddy/sandy. The trails were mostly atv/utv ridden. Just open land, unsanctioned. But fun either way. Didn't expect to find a spot to teeter like I did.

Took my gladiator to some family property along the Broad River about 30 mins from town. It's about a half mile straight down to the water, about 100' elevation change. Not a difficult trail by any means, but one I could no longer manage in my Accord thanks to a few large ruts and washouts.

Nice to hit the water again. Strapped two kayaks into the bed, but I think I'm going to look at some sort of trailer hitch mounted frame to hold them in the future.

Ran MSV/coney flats trail system in Colorado. Lots of fun and surprisingly not crowded for a holiday. Ran with a few wranglers, an XJ and a xterra. Fun times.
