Why is it so hard to find a subwoofer box for these things?

OK, I know about Fox Acoustics, but who else makes a underseat sub box for these things? Looking for 1 10 or 2 8s , unloaded, sealed or ported, with a reasonable mounting depth so I don’t have to use shallow mount subs. Everything I find is either way too big or something else is “wrong” (price, only comes with subs, etc)

Because it's a niche` market. The box would only work in a JT. With low volume comes high price.

Was there something you feel is missing from the FoxBox? I've had mine for over two years now and it's been rock solid and it absolutely pounds. People are surprised it's only a single 10".

Truck cabins generally aren't ideal spaces for fitting subs.

For me it was the mounting depth, not enough depth for my 8” subs.
Can understand that. The Sundown I chose for the FoxBox had a depth of 5 5/8" so I ended up buying the .25" spacer as well. Worked out perfect and allowed for the proper amount of air space. For the cost, I couldn't find a better option.

Does this take up both sides of the seat?

I have to have about that much space for a second battery

I made my own DIY enclosure with a 10" shallow mount subwoofer. I experimented with sealed, but the volume is too small. I ported it to the passenger side. I still have quite a bit of cargo space on the 60 split side (passenger side).

Seems to be one of the better options out there, I’ll likely just make my own box anyways. 300+ dollars for a sheet of mdf folded into a square is a bit much for me.

Our square cab though would add a good amount of cabin gain. Certainly not ideal for practicality but better than a sedan for "bang for your buck".

Thank you. This isn’t what I’m looking for but they do have one that’s almost exactly what I’m looking for. Now I just have to decide whether it’s worth $400 or if I should just build my own
You got it..
I just saw that they have a single 10” with amp combo (much smaller cabinet though), and it has storage for half of the seat for $720, not a bad deal.. I like the idea of keeping some storage under the seat. It may be in my future, depends on how long I can put up with the muddy bass that the comes with the stock Alpine subwoofer in my 2023 Mojave..

That’s the box that I want but I don’t need the amp or sub. I still have some nice old 1990s MTX and JBL stuff stashed in my garage from when I was serious about car audio
