Ugh, they sent me two of the same bracket, would have been nice to have right and left, to swing them in from the rear of the vehicle towards the dash.

I blue loctited the coarse thread screws, and sent them home. Everything clears, but its not super nice. Should serve its purpose though, lol
Mine came the same way. I suspect that its just easier/cheaper to manufacture it as "one size fits all".

Finally got my Walmart deal Kenda Klevers installed. Took me a bit to find a reasonably priced spare Mojave wheel for a 5 tire rotation. So far so good. Thinking this is how it should have come… and should I have gone bigger ?‍♂

I would estimate the weight at around 30 pounds. I am really happy with the top. I love the look of it and the front section flip back option is easy enough to use. I like the fact the top lays flat in the back position and not ramped up in the air like a sail like the other tops I've seen. I also like that I can remove the back window and corner panels and leave the roof in place or fold the back section forward and flip the front over that for a roof off look. Several different options. My negative comments are all around the installation. I am a very competent mechanic and installer of anything. The instructions just suck. They use drawn illustrations that don't look like or reference anything on the truck. They should use actual pictures. I installed it by myself and would highly recommend getting someone to help. Just to have a hand holding things in place while you stretch the back panels into place. If you're patient and take your time it will turn out fine and you'll be very happy with it.
Nice, I'm hoping to pick one up in the next couple months. Curious to hear after couple months how it holds up in the rain etc. Thanks for the input and advice definitely take that into account when installing. :like:

You just chop up the snorkel and then put a hole in the existing Mojave cowl?
Essentially yes - I made small modifications to the method used in the following video

Can you lean the hood all the way back without hitting the lights or bracket?
No issues with the hood leaning back. Over the attachment bolt is about 6 inches. There is quite a bit more over the hole for the light to go into as it is offset. I have a tennis ball between the hood and window as reference for how far back it is.

Finally got around to mounting my compressor in the bed, bought a cheap set of 20 or 25 foot jumper cables off Amazon and cut the clamps off of them to use as power and ground wires. The air up/down hose sits under the seat and I can go from four flat tires to four tires with 34psi in under 7 minutes. I’m good with that.

Haha, reminds me of the infamous teapot reflection on Ebay (or some other auction site).
Been a few years but when I was active on more than a few gun related forums, it was a common thing for people selling rifles to put them on the floor and stand over them to take the picture. You have to make a concerted effort to not get your feet in the picture frame. I knew a guy that collected these feet in the rifle pictures as a gag. Nothing like selling your minty Garand rifle and your green toenail fungus laden bare feet are in the picture.

Nice installation. I use an Alltop I got off Amazon. So far that thing works awesome. About the same on time to air up all 4. I'm definitely happy with that since some in our group take much longer than that. Just don't want to be "that" guy everyone's waiting on. I bought a Morrflate system that uses one connection point for all four tires. Wow what a time saver for airing up and down. It has a digital gauge at the valve. Air down in about 3-4 minutes and air up in 6-7.

I ripped the fenders off preparing to add the Rugged Ridge Max Terrain fender flares.
A bit unnerving to just yank them off, I tried being gentle with the clips and a set of needle nose pliers, but that wore out my patience quick.
If the weather didn't turn to crap on me, I'd have a head on picture.

Started Phase 1 of finishing the interior build out: Sound Deadening
06_HardTop01.jpeg

Phase 2 will be the CoverKing Topliner when it arrives.
Phase 3 will be the Rhino Rack BackBone and Platform so that I can double my solar field from this (100W to 200W):
14_SolarPanel.jpeg

I know I could have just bought a larger platform but I despise the gutter mount solution. You can just see the rear corner of my 2016 JKUR in the top left corner and it has the AEV Platform Rack, which was just the rebranded Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform, and I absolutely love it. I also plan to use the Back Bone's internal brackets to reinforce the mounting of my rear window molle panel:
07_Compressor_1.jpeg

And ultimately Phase 4 (which is the "Dream Phase") will see the Rhino Rack, in conjunction with the Alu-Cab canopy, being used as a support for this (if they ever make it):

Where did you get the molle on the inside rear window?
