When did he say the 4xe was coming. What Jim said was electrification would be extended to all models by 2025. That could easily mean the Gladiator is dead. No one knows until something is announced next year if leaks do not occur. You could be right, what work that has been done for a 4xe version just might not be where engineering wants it. That could be announced mid year if that was the case, but I won't be holding my breath. Personally, I think killing off the Gladiator would be a mistake but I'm not a Stellantis bean counter.I mean 4xe is obviously coming since the full lineup will be electrified by 2025. Jim Morrison even confirmed it today. Not sure what the hold up is but maybe the engineers aren't quite happy with it on the JT yet. Regardless, 4xe and XR were not part of the recent mid-cycle refresh on the JL - they preceded it. Jeep sells more than 3x as many Wranglers as Gladiators so it's not surprising that Wrangler might get some wheeling goodies or powertrains that Gladiator does not. I'm not saying those things wouldn't be nice. I'm just surprised that people are apparently just now figuring out Gladiator is second fiddle to Wrangler. It always has been.
The XR version could have easily been optioned for the Gladiator. That would have caused excitement. What we got today, does not.
