Just for fun, anyone top out yet at 120. I was 110 mph over the Roth bridge on the C&D canal last night coming home from the grandkids. You should have heard that soft top hummin...... only 20-30 seconds at most...... #Bonniville
I’ve maybe hit triple digits on the I35 Autobahn between OKC and DFW. Routinely cruise at 90 though. It’s actually not terrible on stock Mojave suspension and 35” BFG AT.

Curious if anyone has information or speculation on what lies ahead for the JT in terms of engine options? Will the Stellantis I6 Hurricane make its way into the JL/JT over the next couple of years? Will there be a 4xe or full EV version of the JT? Or will Jeep shock everyone and put a 392 in the JT given the JL 392s sales success (or will all V8s die from Stellantis with the green push as many have speculated)?
I have been praying every day for years for jeep to install the 392 V8 engine in the JT! I can’t believe that the competitors offer 700HP in the TRX and the Raptor R in pickup trucks and Jeep let them all the cake! The is a real market for that niche! AMW sale so many swap engine 392 for the JT! it’s now or never if the JT 2024 will not come with the 392 V8 or at least the 510HP Hurricane engine i will say good bye to Jeep! I own Jeep’s since 30 years and i will be so disappointed !

Really? Real market? So many swaps? This thread should have been left dead.

The 2024 Jeep JT Gladiator debut was a disappointment. The 3.6 Pentastar V6 derived from a Wrangler/Charger/Challenger/Ram/Caravan is the only power plant engine and the 6 speed manual recall issues have no resolutions yet. With the new Jeep CEO on his way, I hope he’ll consider filling the voids on the Gladiator pickup line by adding the 4xe and maybe a 2 door variant (Scrambler). I’m still waiting for Stellantis to have a green light with the 4xe Gladiator, since that’s the particular pickup I’d like to have. Jeep - you mastered the Wrangler well. Now, let’s see if you can add the floating Dana axle and tge 4xe on the Gladiator as well. Learn from the Scrambler and Comanche fallouts and don’t fail with the Gladiator pickup.

I’d almost put money down on a few things:
A. Diesel=dead forever… and I love mine!
They failed on that motor a few ways
1. Too expensive of an option for what it is
2. Cooling capacity isn’t even close for what that motor produces and is capable of
Expensive AF oil? I get parasitic loss to gain mpg but for F sake, nothing else in the commercial world issues it and those engines are fine. Build that shit with bearings and liners that can last without overpriced/overrated oil
3. The cp4 recall unlikely to get fixed ever. Imagine it’s cheaper to replace the current pump as they fail then to reengineer and prove out a new one.

B. They will never put a hemi in a glad. That would be a dumb financial decsion as it prices out most and is an absolute fuel hog.
C. The glad will be disco’d. The sales data and the “sales” recently to liquidate makes it clear.
D. Because above, hurricane will likely never make it to the glad even when they junk the plastic 3.6 wholistiaclly. The glad is at the bottom of the profit pyramid for Jeep.. I wouldn’t do it either if I ran the show. Saledon’t support any real investment.. even though it will get done for the wrangler and it would all be the same.
I love my Deezel nutz glad (favorite of 6 Jeeps so far) and have come to accept its flaws, but the market for it is generally not there to support continued investment in it.
Venting complete, back to yard work.

Ram and Dodge cars will be getting the I-6 Hurricane in 2024, probably won't see/hear much about Jeep until late next year or even 2025. Heck, I wonder if they have even started trying to see if it will fit in the current body LOL

The Hurricane is already offered in the Wagoneer for 2023. I have been told it is too long for the Gladiator but may just be rumor.

I'm not sure it's an issue about it fitting. It's more likely an issue with the costs to do the crash testing and EPA certification.

That's a huge factor along with emissions certification/guzzler tax. A 5.7L in one of these would be downright delightful in MANY ways.

I hate that V8's are dead. But deep down we all know if the JT got a hot motor like the Hurricane or a 4xe option there would be a sudden flood of JT's in the used market.
Maybe so, but not mine.

I think the 4xE will definitely be an option and hopefully sell as well as the wrangler 4xE is. Stellantis FCA looks to be retiring the Pentastar soon, and with it making the 2.0 and 3.0 hurricane the new primary powerplant go to across their entire eco system. I would definitely trade in on a hurricane mojave and save myself the V8 swap expenditure for something else.

I thought 4xe was ruled out for the foreseeable future?
Does anyone think there is a chance that the JT will be discontinued? I wouldn’t mind it as I already have mine ?
JT platform is slated to run till 2028 by contract. Multiple threads on this. Plus I'm pretty sure its been confirmed 4xE JT will release late 2025 production run.
