Just got a quote from eastcoast gear supply to put 4.88s in my Mojave. This seems more inline if i wanted a locker added not just a straight regear.

12 hours seems high and why are they charging you sales tax on labor?

I'm only a few hours from them, and even though I can do gears myself I'm considering them for my JT and wife's JL just for parts and labor warranties.
Last time I talked to them they were booked a month out. They required payment for the parts at time of booking and then payment for labor when it is done. At least that is what they said when I called about my ball joint deletes but decided to do them myself.

I paid that much to regear to 4.56’s with Dana gears. But that also included $1,500 in (2)Truetrac differentials. $3700 for ring and pinions(Yukon at that) only is highway robbery.

$1799!!!! that almost feels free. Maybe I should just plan a trip to cali and spend 4x the money?
China bearings and parts don't cost as much. Don't buy junk stuff this important.

Paid just over $2,100 at Globex Performance for the same job. Located in NJ if you can make the trip.

Ya your getting your chain yanked we get them done at 4 wheel parts around $2200 for straight swap we get a deal since we're dealers but $2500-$2800 should be plenty

Better grab that chain and Jerk back.. thats high dollar work.. I would ask if that includes all of the other goodies. It also could be they quoted 12 and may only take them 6.5hrs. But Dang that's high bubby

I paid $2,543.88 all together last month. 2 year manufacture warranty (Revolution) and lifetime labor. If you can't bring it back to them they'll work with a local shop in your area to have anything repaired/warrantied. Haven't seen a better warranty out there.

It can certainly be done for less, unfortunately not your coast but Rebel 4X4 advertises 1799 (total) for both axles.

They're is California though.

Does seem steep is all I'm saying.
You will pay the difference in shipping, while wasting time. Not to mention if there’s an issue down the road. Stick with local professional, to do a re-gear get pretty technical with centering everything properly, to have them last at least as long as the rest of the vehicle.

Well no shipping, since that's an installed price. Certainly not for everyone but Rebel Offroad is well known here and plenty of members have used them for gear changes.

I see no reason not to use them if it's local enough that gas for the trip doesn't price it out.

I’m driving 3 hours towards charlotte even though ECGS is like 10 minutes away. 1000+ less and getting warranty. ECGS told me they wouldn’t install customer supplied parts and were charging something like double what Id pay for the same parts. Then another local truck shop said they would do it— guess what- they contract it out to ECGS and they were going to use my parts….. super annoying. Shop in Greensboro was similar quote around 37-3800. Crazy difference in prices.
