And what causes that if you don't even have the auxiliary battery?

It's simply a LOW VOLTAGE thing, not the aux battery.
If you don't drive it enough or long/far enough, often enough, the batteries get low - BOTH of them, and you'll get that message, even if you don't even have an aux battery.
I know that for a fact because my wife's Jeep has given that message and had low voltage messages, switches not available and so on. No aux battery in her Jeep.
Sorry, too much of what you read is just wrong or people assuming or angry there's such a battery.
Aux switches not available simply means LOW voltage. Nothing more or less, because they run from the main, too.
Aux battery function with the computer and aux charging is separate from the main crank battery, it's a 3 party conversation. And the different features pull off of different batteries, like the ASS feature. Give me a wiring diagram for a '22 JTRD, I have one in my driveway

With the Oracle flush mount trail lights and bumper reverse light there is no problem

That's funny. Don't know where you got that, but they are in parallel at all times except when the ESS restart is triggered and the starter sequence begins.
I'm on my 3rd JT, I have the schematics, and we've discussed this at great length and depth here for years.
I've also shown with volt meters connected to the aux and main battery that the voltage drops on both in lock-step during a stop, proving they are still connected in parallel.

Further proof - someone can disconnect the auxiliary battery negative lead and still drive the vehicle just fine. People do it all the time - just disconnect the aux battery, wrap the disconnected cable, and drive on.

I think you have some catching up to do.

Here's the diagram - other than going through a fuse to the aux battery, the charging comes across the same bus, the same high current fuse for both batteries.

This is an electrical schematic - this shows "battery" - they treat them as one electrically speaking.
One does go more directly to the high current feeds - (N2) radiator fan, EHPS, PCR, and the IBS is fed from the main, but everything else is going through N1 - EVERYTHING.
All of it. Every module, everything about that Jeep feeds through N1 save for what I listed above - 4 items.

This shows that they are treated as one parallel pair electrically.
Further proof is the fact that BOTH drop voltage at the exact same rate during a stop - they are connected together and all loads during a stop come from both batteries the whole time, until the starter is triggered.

So when the ignition is off and the Jeep is parked, the two batteries remain connected as one?
Yes, they are paralleled together all the time, except during a ESS restart. The computers (and some other circuits) are separated and run off the Aux Battery while the starter is cranking to keep them from becoming unstable due to low voltage.

With the TAZR you can prompt it to cut the license plates when in reverse.

Mine is very inconsistent on this, I'm constantly having to crawl under the dash to unplug it and plug it back in or unmarry/remarry it to get that to work.

It's nice in theory, but software solutions to this are buggy as hell and not reliable.

I have notices it and not idea but it doesn't bother me.
Not enough to spend $300 on. Bright backup lights pretty much off-set it anyway.

I bought one of these awhile back and it works great. Looks like he doesn't have one available right now but he probably will again. It's a real clean Plug and Play install and can be removed if you need to no wire cutting or anything permanent.

It gets inserted inline with the backup lights. When they're on a relay opens the license plate lamp circuit.
