How would 60's help in those situations?
Not at all. Hells gate isn’t that difficult. Momentum and don’t stop. And don’t go too far to driver.

They wouldn't, but they would give me better piece of mind when offroad, especially when I move up to 40's :like:

With 40’s I agree. That’s a lot of torque against components.

I'm assuming these cracks and gaps shouldn't be there?

This looks like you’ve broken the plug welds that holds the axle hosing together…it will probably cost more to try to fix it than it would to get a front take off.

Yup, that was our conclusion earlier in the thread too. I decided to go with the dana 60 5 lug swap and it's currently under the jeep.

I guess I'll have to look into getting a 90 degree grease needle for the lower ball joints. It is odd Currie installed them with the grease fitting facing the wheel.

Also, don't be like me and install the knuckles before the axle shaft... It should be obvious that the new axle shaft is too large to fit through the knuckle because of the 1480 u joints.

Whoever pressed in that joint is an idiot.
So the knuckle has to come out to pull the axle shaft? That's a pain.

You seriously can’t replace an axle shaft without removing the knuckle?
