Winch installed. Zeon 10. Steel cable for now. Would have gone synthetic but could not wait for backorder as I needed it installed now in preparations for a 2 week trip in 14 days. This was actually a pain in the ass to install. The Winch did not fit as the housing is too wide for the space between the bumper mount flanges. Not due to the bumper but due to the Gladiator's bumper mount flange. This bumper does not use the center top holes to mount, luckily. I had to grind off a half inch of steel from both mount flanges to get this winch to set on the mounting plate. I scratched the crap out of the sides of the winch due to fit testing and trying to get it in but there was no way without grinding. But now it is set and seems to work fine.

Can you show more photos of bumper? Like straight on bumper level, side photo bumper level.

You didn't change bumper and suspension at the same time did you?

Also of note is that this setup dropped the front of the jeep 1/2" measured at the front of the rock rails.

Anyone have experience with Superwinch? I have someone offering to trade a new in box superwinch rock98 for my stock wheels/tires, based off MSRP it looks like a no brainer but I'm not familiar with the brand/model

Superwinch has been around a long time kinda like Warn. I have never heard terrible things about the brand and have seen them on plenty vehicles. That looks like the equivalent to Warns Rock crawler line up. Sound like it would be a good deal to me.

The JCR buckled under load. Now, if I had been using a snatch block, this might have been avoided. The difference between the JCR and Warn is substantial though and the price of the Warn has come down to within $50.00 of the JCR so don't waste your time saving a couple of

You might want to get a hold of JCR and let them know what happened. Many MFGs like to know when their products fail and they may want to update the design. It wouldn't hurt to call.
