This is exactly what I did! Wxman did an awesome job of explaining what you have to do! While I’m old enough to remember there wasn’t a factory made/ installed controller I’m also old enough to know that when the manufacturers say best in towing yada yada yada they include one! My Ram had it and others also have them! FCA should’ve had them out before they introduced the gladiator! But oh well! I’m perfectly happy with the Redarc I have! Used it today actually!

I'm with you. Most likely never need it but want to complete the package. I think it will look nice once installed.

I'm don't need one, yet, so I'm waiting to see what the install options are. If the only option is to remove the 12v socket, then I'll have to go with the Curt and install it to the left of the steering wheel. I have too many items to plug in and can't give up the 12v power socket.

Correct, still not available and depending on source the current target date is either August or October. If you need one sooner you'll have to go one of the other routes.

Yes! Change it to "never available" or "vaporware".

Going with the Redarc on mine. Trying to figure out where to mount the knob where I can keep it protected from rain in the event I get caught without doors or a roof. That was the only reason I was waiting on the mopar since jeep certifies their electronic, but I need to actually use my truck, and this thing tows even 2k pounds like garbage without brakes.

I ordered some 12v outlets to install on the passenger side and attach tot he aux switches. That way i still have access to them once I loose it to the break controller.

In the video of the install on the red truck he said the dash lights " go crazy " when the brakes are activated without a trailer. Does this condition go away on it's own?
