Obviously they can just order these at will without any need for a VIN or other info otherwise they couldn't make such a mistake. No one double-checks these things? Imagine owners that never check and then after the warranty is up they have trouble - this is scary IMO.

What exactly is the difference in these parts between the JL & JT? I've heard of some people getting the wrong part, yet apparently the part still fits?

Seems like EVERYONE should take a photo of their new steering gear before leaving the dealership and checking to ensure it has the correct number.............After seeing a couple of folks here with the wrong one, I decided to check.
I really wish these had a quick-ratio gear but it is what it is, these aren't sports cars.

There is a one character difference between the JT and the Wrangler 2 door gear. And three are listed in the same chart, easy to mess up. Yup, maybe everyone should check.

I know it's been said before but holy hell the new steering box is amazing! I don't live far from the dealership but just the short drive home was noticeably different in a good way. The whole truck feels different in every aspect. I wonder what all the programming update changes.

Pic of my new box and the new bolts, can easily tell the new bolts from the old.

I took my Gladiator to Foss Motors in Exeter NH. They told me my Jeep is impacted with the steering service bulletin issue, but the parts are on back order and it may be a month before they are in (This was over a week ago). Is anyone else hearing this or are they not telling me the truth ?

I would say that's probably true at this point. With many discovering this TSB, parts are restricted and the line keeps growing.

Look at it this way - they didn't argue, parts are on order, and there's light at the end of the tunnel........ unlike some who have had the dealers deny the fix to them.

Check the TSB here - with numbers.
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/attachments/tsb-08-074-20-pdf-356442-pdf.95902/

Is ratio the ONLY difference - or, is there something else as far as software/pump settings?
I wonder............

6. Is the vehicle a 2018 or 2019 JL?
• YES>>> Proceed to Step 7.
• NO>>> Proceed to Step 8.
7. Add Sales Code 70F to the vehicle list. Go to DealerCONNECT > Service > Warranty
Administration > Vehicle Option Update.

I was at Foss on 9/3 and they said they were limited to when thay can order my replacement but would put me in line. I called the parts Dept today to check status and was told it still was not ordered - would be able to order on 9/16. It would have to come from the distribution center in Detroit because the Mopar Warehouse in Mansfield was out which would seem to indicate somewhere around a week for it to arrive after order is placed. He said they had contacted other ‘non-Jeep’ Mopar facilities to see if they could give up their allocation, but were not having much success with that. Also mentioned he had 4 other owners in line behind mine.

Big difference for my Rubicon (37" Milestar Patagonias) after the TSB. The repair tech didn't want to do it, but I kept after my service guy, showing him the $430 Fox 2.0 ATS stabilizer I bought to try to help the problem, right after buying my Gladiator.

It's really sad that it's so damn hard to get Jeep to admit there's a problem and fix it.
Then the repair tech should have been fired. It's not his job to determine if a TSB applies to a vehicle.
