It was the Jeep Gladiator 2020 Owners Group. He stated a flash was needed but also said took him 45 minutes to install. (adam was his name.)

As for those asking about the 12V removal there is another thread. Tool was $9.00 on amazon for me.

To me after reading direction I see no reason to flash vehicle. It plugs into the same plug my REDARC does. My guess is its a REDARC inside a fancy MOPAR plastic package. Time will tell I guess. I ordered one just to see how it goes in.

I believe if you have ADH, no flash is needed.

Looks like you need a cigarette lighter/power outlet removal tool Miller “10246”. Holy hell it’s like $40+ online!!

Any trick to get the cig lighter out without the tool, or a place to buy that tool cheaper?

I have a tool that was passed from
Msilva on the forum to me with stipulation after I use it I pass it on, I don’t have my brake contoller yet , but will install ASAP and pass on to the first guy that says.......
“It’s a Jeep thing, I understand”....
First post gets it, as long as you pass on and patiently wait until I have mine in.

It will work anyway - it has to, it stands alone. It plugs in exactly like Redarc, Curt, etc. - in fact, it resembles the Redarc in ways.
It's got 4 leads, like Redarc -

Power (+12v)
Ground
Output to trailer brakes
brake light sense (it knows when your brake lights are on) (my question - can it actually trigger the trailer brake lights when the button is pushed without causing the 4th of July on the cluster? No other controller can)

Whats the fused wire they show running under the fender and kick plate to the rear?
I thought the factory harness was already brake controller compatible.

IF you don't have the tow package with the factory wiring - that's what that is for.

So I got him to post a copy of the instructions. Looks like it functions similar to Redarc and Curt. What’s interesting to note is that the backlighting I was asking about actually is present, and works only when you plug the trailer in, which is actually pretty cool

It covers install only, not how to set it, use it, etc.
