4k miles in and not a single complaint or issue here. So far so good. I wouldn't change my decision. Except the bottoming out. Only thing.
we rolled 1900 on our High Altitude Diesel today. We haven’t had a bottoming out issue and I freaking love the Jeep and diesel. Wife drove up to Michigan today and got 25+ MPG.

Finally got the chance to take a camping trip in the JTRD this weekend and I'm honestly so disappointed in how the suspension performed off-road.

I was wheeling with a stock Tacoma TRD off road, and a Crosstrek (stock, on full pressure street tires, loaded with gear) joined in on the fun for the last day and I was absolutely annihilating my bumpstops on things going 6-15mph that the other two people were going about 20-25mph on a SIMPLE DIRT ROAD. @JeepCares please please please do something about this.

I'm not an angry person, like honestly never... but if you could have seen how livid and utterly frustrated/defeated i was feeling when I smacked metal on metal from going over a small bump at less than 10mph... This happened so many times I couldn't even keep count during a drive down a well maintained forest road. My stock wrangler never had any issues like this.

Complete opposite of the description being the "worlds most off road capable truck" that I spent $62k on.

Its worth noting that I didn't experience hardly any bottoming out from the rear suspension, even with some camping gear in the bed.

I will say the silver lining is I averaged amazing gas mileage over the 800 miles, at 22mpg versus what my wrangler would have been at around 10-12mpg so it's not all bad. All with a lot of 4wd uphill driving through mountains, and driving in the Columbia River Gorge in a headwind for 4h straight.

I got my update from Lisa today. They are closing the case today as nothing can be done until Engineering comes up with a solution, as CreepyJeepy mentioned. So guess we are just stuck waiting, again. Not super happy at this point... really surprised that a top of the line Rubicon bottoms out over potholes and speed humps, and overheats on a long uphill climb. Love the vehicle, I just wish it worked as advertised.

So does that mean they closed all cases? Or just yours?

Sorry, that was kind of vague... I don't know the answer to your question, she just said that she will be closing the case today, and waiting for engineering.

I really hope they actually do something about this because it is such an issue that the truck is, in my opinion, not at all living up to what it's advertised to be and definitely not justified for the price point.

It's so bad that I almost don't want to drive it off road in fear I'm going to keep hitting the axle off the bump stop housing and start bending/breaking parts.

IMO, having worked in and with support in various places and situations, they need to leave the case OPEN because there is no resolution. Doesn't matter if they don't have an answer yet - it's still a problem, it's not fixed and until engineering says "nothing we can do" it should not be closed.
I'm totally confused as to how and organization can close a case that is totally unresolved!
At least wait for engineering to say yes we have an answer or no we can't do anything about it. THEN close it.
The final word should come from the final authority, not a case worker.

Reminds me of an issue I had with a Tundra. On Certain roads the truck would buck front to back on the highway between 55-65 mph. The final resolution, “vehicle reacts as designed “. Problem was it’s a BAD DESIGN!

Has a lot to do with wheelbase. We have a highway here that causes some vehicles to act like a carnival ride while the next vehicle passes smoothly. I can take my short car on the stretch and it's ok, but my longer car the wheels up front hit the high spot at the same time the rear wheels hit the low spot. It's a lot of how the wheels hit high and low spots and if at the same time or alternating, etc. I almost get seasick on one highway - it's the spacing if the irregularities.
Not saying they couldn't have done more or better to mitigate it, but.......... there's likely logic behind it.

I agree... Not sure what to do exactly at this point... I am waiting for a call back from the Dealership. I had an unusually long wait for my original order, and tons of miss information about the process. When i finally got it, it was scratched and had to be fixed... and the interior was not totally installed. Issues are getting fixed, but additional cost and time loss. I love the truck around town, but on a road trip and on the trail it falls very short of expectations (Overheating and bottoming out). I really don't want to complain too much, or trash the Brand, especially since I proudly wear it on my hat and t-shirt regularly... I love my Gladiator! But as mentioned I am at a loss, short of dumping a bunch more money into the problem to make it ride as it should from the factory. Talked to metalcloak today, and for a wad of cash this could be resolved in a couple of weeks :(
