I have had my eye on this for awhile now it sure looks good on your truck, I was planning on ordering one before rainy season gets here it is disappointing to here how frustrating the install was now I am thinking to get the soft-topper instead.
I will say that despite it being frustrating it worked REALLY well..the dogs loves it and i got endless people stopping at the camp site asking to look at it.

the hardest part is the bar nearest the cab because you have to run the soft top into it. (That sentence will make sense once you get one)

id stick to the bestop over the soft topper, especially if you intend to use it occasionally like I do. Specifically because you dont need to drill snaps into the bed, or add velcro to the tail gate, just to keep it secured. The bestop one can be removed and stores relatively easily.

I wasn’t a fan of the tonneau because it just wasnt the same as the mopar soft rolling cover ive fallen in love with. If you want it ill sell you mine cheaper than a new one direct from bestop.

While in the garage cleaning up all the plasti-dip residue I might have missed yesterday the FedEx guy showed up with the Hot Head headliners. Took me a couple hours to get it all done but I got her done.

A word of advice for you guys that haven’t done it yet but are going to. The instructions tell you it’s easier to do with the top on. I’m calling bullshit on that one. Take the time to take it off and save yourself a lot of grief and aggravation. That’s what I did and I’m glad I did. Things went a lot smoother. Plus you won’t make a mess in your truck with the sanding or risk spilling acetone on anything.

On Saturday I wired the winch in (hadn't completed the wiring since moving the winch from my old JTR to my new JTR). Inline WARN power interrupt kit, and a 500A fuse inline for good measure. Mounted it all on some angle iron. Connected to good ol' AUX4.

Just did mine with the top on last week. I went very slowly, draped painter's plastic inside the cab to catch dust and watched videos in between each step to make sure I got it all right the first time and it took about the same amount of time (got the full package w/ sound strips). And while it may have been technically faster, sanding overhead with plastic dust falling in your face is not fun, nor was the prep or sitting on plastic in a hot vehicle the whole time. If you're doing it by yourself and don't want to take the top off; it can be done, but it sure as heck ain't a "fast and easy" way.

Exactly. The sound strips take time to install and do t fit exactly right. They need to be cut and pressed in. I can’t imagine doing all that needs to be done with them from inside a hot cramped cab. They are a bit messy as well. I’d be pretty pissed if I had dropped the excess pieces on my nice leather seats and gotten that black sticky adhesive everywhere.

Installed the Quadratec dead pedal. Very well made and solid. Comfortable and you can lift it up out of the way when you need to stretch your leg. Very easy install. Took five minutes and easy on the back.

I carry every day at work, and as a "full size" individual an OWB holster is a tight fit while sitting in the seat. I also don't like just leaving my gun "floating" while driving. Cheap simple solution from Amazon in an adjustable MOLLE holster.... I can still reach easily while driving, and it is low enough and on the inside portion of the passenger seat so that it is not readily apparent through the windows from the outside. It is definitely cheap compared to what I normally spend on holsters, but we will see how it holds up. And before I get lectured, I do not leave my firearms unattended in my vehicle.

Which molle seat cover setup is this?
